Chii really hadn't been feeling well for the past few days. He wasn't sure what was wrong with him. He had been avoiding Ryo because of this. He didn't want to worry him about his health. Usually he got better within a few days but this cold seemed to not go away.
"It might be more then a cold..." Chii thought.
He was walking around dorm 3, trying to clear his head. he felt all stuffed up. He was starting to get light-headed and a little dizzy. He could feel his temperature rising again. He leaned against the wall as he started having another coughing spell. He clenched his chest and tears started streaming down his cheeks.
Chii's eyes rolled into the back of his head as things went black...
Ryo had a bad feeling, he watched his pencil lead break for the tenth time in five minutes. He dropped his pencil and tossed the sketchbook off the bed. He ran out of the room and froze at the sight of his missing boyfriend collapsed near the entrance of Dorm 3. He burst into tears and ran over to him. He reached to touch him...he was on fire and his clothes were drenched in sweat. He picked Chii up gently and cradled him to his chest. He whispered, "Chii...I'm here. I'll take care of you...just rest."
Chii opened his eyes just for a minute to see Ryo carrying him somewhere. Chii didn't have any strength in him to fight Ryo so he just let him carry him where ever they were going. He only had enough strength to whisper, "Aishiteru Ryo...". His body started shaking. He leaned in to Ryo's touch and passed out again.
Ryo barely heard Chii's feverous voice, he kissed his burning forehead, "Boku mou Aishiteru Chii...just rest..." he leaned back against the wall as he opened the door. He carried his lover to the bed near the door and gently laid him down. Ryo slowly removed Chii's wet clothes and threw them in their laundry basket. He ran into their bathroom and got a warm cloth and filled a container with water. He tried to wipe the sweat from his lover's body. He whispered, "Don't worry I'll take care of you..."
Ryo-sempai was on his way back to his dorm when he saw Yama-chan carrying a boy, ok much more Ryo knew it was Chii-kun, back to their room.
So curiously, Ryo-sempai went over to their room to check out if they are alright.
"Yama-chan, Chii-kun. It’s Nishikido-sempai, I am coming in now.”
Ryo turned at the sound of the door opening, "Nishikido-sempai...Chii's sick. I think he's got a really high fever...his clothes were soaked in sweat. I've taken care of my sister Kizuna when she was sick lots of times but this is worse. I've never seen anyone this sick...”
Chii slowly opened his eyes to see that he had been undressed. His body became cold and he started shaking. His lips started quivering as he called out for Ryo. "Ryo... I'm scared" He tried to reach his hand out but he didn't have any strength left in him. He used it all with calling out to Ryo. He barely noticed that Ryo-sempai was there. His shaking body was starting to get to be too much for him. Tears started streaming down his cheek.
Ryo crawled beneath the blankets and held Chii close, "Chii, its ok....I'm here...don't worry..." he turned to his sempai, "Nishikido-sempai, could you please run and get me some medicine...I can't leave him..."
"High Fever? Yama-chan, Get a wet towel first and put it on his forehead. I will go over to my room to get some medicine. Ok." with that, Nishikido-sempai ran back to his room to get the medicine. When he came back, Nishikido-sempai went over to Chii and tried to feed him the medicine. "Chii kun. Can you sit up for a while? So I can give you the medicine..."
Chii was still very much out of it so he wasn't quite sure what was going on. He heard Nishikido-sempai talking to Ryo but what exactly they were saying he wasn't comprehending.
He saw his sempai come over to him with what looked like medicine. He glanced over at Ryo and tried to sit up. His body was so weak and he was still shaking so it was hard.
"Ryo... Ryo-sempai... I can't on my own."
Ryo sat up, he pulled Chii gently into his lap and helped Chii sit up. He brushed Chii's hair out of his eyes, "I'll take care of you...don't worry...your Ryo is here...Aishiteru mou..." he nodded at Nishikido-sempai, "Go ahead and give it to him.” He didn't look all that strong but soccer made him very strong. Ueda-sensei's class was helpful too...he held Chii close. He was so worried...he just wanted him well...had he been hiding from him because he was sick....?
Nishikido-sempai looked back at Chii. "I don't think he can drink the medicine right. He doesn’t have the energy to do so." he stopped to think.
"I know we’ll let him drink it with a straw." Nishikido-sempai took the straw out and bit by bit giving it to Chii.
Chii clung to Ryo as he took the medicine from Nishikido-sempai. He was really scared because he had never been this sick before. He knew he shouldn't have ignored what he thought was just a cold but usually that's just what it was, a cold and nothing more. But this time he let it get really bad.
"Done. You can lay him down. Now why don’t you get more blankets for Chii. And don't worry too much. I am here. We will look after Chii-chan together ne." Ryo-sempai replied. After all what else was a dorm head for beside taking care of his kouhais.
"Nishikido-sempai...*coughcough* I'm scared... *coughcough*" Chii started choking, tears falling from his eyes again.
Ryo held Chii close, he rubbed his back and whispered, "I know you’re scared Chii...I'm here...I'm not going to leave you...please rest Chii...please..." he buried his face in Chii's hair to hide his tears. Chii disappears on him and comes back sick...very sick...he was afraid, what would he do without Chii? He was his whole world...his life...his heart...
"Don't worry , its okay sempai is here too. Just lay down and get some sleep. Everything will be alright when you wake up." Then Nishikido-sempai turned to Ryo. "Yama-chan. You have to let go of Chii-kun for a while so his fever breaks, you wouldn’t want to overheat him would you? Why don’t you go and wet a towel and put it on his forehead."
Ryo shook his head, "Chii wouldn't let me go...I already got a warm cloth and wiped the sweat from his body. Can you get it...and change the water in the basin....perhaps the blue pajamas from off my bed too? He needs something dry and warm to wear..." he held Chii close and kissed his forehead, "I'm here Chii...you asked me to stay with you so I am..."
"Of course I can change it for you. Let Chii-kun lay down so he will be comfortable. Just for a while."
Chii looked back and forth between Ryo and Nishikido-sempai. He heard what they were saying and he tried to make sense of it as best he could. It seemed that Ryo-sempai wanted Ryo to let Chii rest. Chii looked up into Ryo's eyes and nodded. "It's ok Ryo... *coughcough* Do as sempai says... *coughcough*"
Ryo lay down and held Chii close, he kissed his lover's forehead, "Rest Chii...I'll take care of you. You know I will..." seeing Chii sick like this broke his heart...he begged please god...let him get well...he had never seen anyone so sick...
Nishikido-sempai saw how worried Ryo was and told him. "Don't worry, I’m here to take care of him too so you’re not alone. Here is the wet towel; just place it on his forehead and change it every half an hour. Can you do that?"
Ryo nodded looking down at Chii, "I can do that..." he wanted to stay with Chii because Chii asked him to. He didn't want him to get sicker...
"Good. Just do what I say and it will be alright. Then I will leave him here for you to take care of for a while. I will go and make some porridge for him to eat. ok…"
Chii woke up in Ryo's arms, he was feeling a little better and kissed Ryo's cheek, "Ryo..."
Ryo woke up immediately and yawned, "Chii...you're awake? Are you feeling better..."
Chii grinned, "A lot better...you make a really good nurse, Ryo. Thank you for taking such good care of me..."
Ryo smiled at him, "You were sick...I'm your boyfriend. It’s my job to take care of you...besides I wanted too..."
