But I am pessimistic.

But it's STILL pretty awesome they got nominated. :)
If my first feature film got nominated for Best Picture, actually winning would just be icing on the cake ;)

Losing to that would be like sand in the wound of otherwise just mild and bittersweet disappointment but still an honorable loss.
sigh. Ohwell. I am hoping for the best for them and storytelling geeks everywhere.

Please not the glitz, please not the glitz, please not the glitz...
Which is super sad that I'm saying this because if the movie had been praised as good by the critics, had done well enough to recoup and make a bit of a profit at the box office, and had been nominated for some SFX Oscars I would have been content and said "Avatar is a fine movie. A really fine piece of art."
If Blue Cat-People in Space can win Best Picture, Dark Crystal should have! And even I wouldn't argue that.

And I hadn't looked at her page yet when I made the comment about Prawn plushies - I didn't realize she'd made one of her own. Cool! :)

Little CJ is name Oliver (based on the MNU tells lies blog that Christopher wrote) LOL
Steffi just ADORES Oliver she always calls him "leeto behbeh" hahaha I think she wants to kidnap him if she could (and dress him up in outfits I have SEEN the drawings haha!)
I gave her this skeletal doll under structure I took out of a rabbit plush - you know those kinds that are all ball jointed and pop into any position? She might make a prawn out of that one day...it would totally make an actual sized Oliver 8D
