Extension granted
To make an epic story short, I have in the last week seen more of Canberra by bus than ever before, collected paperwork, had various appointments, applied for an extension, cooked polenta, bought myself Phoenix Wright: Justice For All, made tea in a large pink teapot shaped like a cabbage, talked to various friends about various issues, and tried to get a HP scanner working with Linux.
Not as easy as it sounds. I suspect that I'll have to actually find and download some software, which can wait till tomorrow. Or I can just plug it into Urd, and install the drivers there. Though I detest the packaged software. All pretty bubbly graphics, and no hard edges. I just want buttons! Scan! Preview! Resolution! Not... "I've delorted all the white space around your art, including the subject's leg. Please validate me now, I love you, dear consumer!"
Have extension. I can breathe now. I wanted to eat out, but Tom is feeling funny this week. He's gone to bed before 12, been up at 7, and feels cold and drowsy all day. If he's like this tomorrow, I'm taking him to see a doctor.
