Up in flames.
People can build amazing things in Minecraft. As much as I play and stuff I haven't really built anything that made me go : "Aww yes! This is a masterpeice!" As I mostly just build simple houses and I tend to get bored when I play by myself. However, with the recent world I've been playing, a private server I play with SK, I started building something that I was really, really proud of. Basically, this:
A tree house! It started with these two rooms. This view is from the left.
This one is from the right.
This is the ground floor. I'm using mod packs in my game. You can see the Arcane Levitation blocks on the right, from Thaumcraft 3. Standing on them lifts you up to the top floor.
Which is this! To the left is a portal gun, (From the portal gun mod. Works just like the game Portal, portals. xD) That I used to go back to the original base where all the materials were. To the right are more Arcane Levitation blocks that you stand under and they take you down.
This was going to be a magic room, but it wasn't big enough. I kept the library and enchantment table there though.
This bigger room was going to be the new magic room, was in the middle of moving everything but...

It went up in flames. We suspect that lighting struck and lit it on fire, but we figured that the rain would put out the fire or something? But, oh well. Them's the brakes. xD
It's not all that bad though. I still have the tree on back-up, but I didn't think it was fair to roll-back the server after all the other crap we did, just to get back the tree. I could have rebuilt it, but... well, that darn tree took hours to build. Maybe some other time I'll finish the tree on the back-up, but for now I tore down the hanging blocks and have since started working on my next project. It's gonna be an Asian-theme palace. I'll post pictures when done~
