Omg, I'm so fucking tired. I've been plowing through finals for 2 weeks straight now, with no break. I did have a little one last night, when Noel took me to see V for Vendetta. GOOD movie. AWESOME movie. Wow. I loved it. We're going to see Art School Confidential Friday, after class, with James, Gus, and whoever else wants to come with us. Other than that, I've been working hard and a lot. I'm damn proud of the fruits of my labors too. I finished one of my finals a week in advance, because I started early. Another will be fucking awesome because I started early, and the third I'm working on now in the screen printing room. I'm bored as all hell, waiting for my screens to dry. I'll have a test final in the fourth class...not looking forward to that....and I'm doing ok with my illustration final.
About the first 2 though... The one I finished early is a beautiful, wall hanging, illuminated sculpture. It's got pounded, steel mushroom shapes that are attached to a nicely finished piece of wood. They are illuminated from underneath. With a week to spare, I have time to perfect it. I need to locate lightbulb paint and make the bulbs colored. I have NO idea where to look. It's a specialty item so WalMart, Target, and Home Depot are out. Maybe Michaels...
The second project is a wok....a giant wok. For those who don't know, a wok is a Japanese cooking dish. So at first glance it's a scultpture of a giant wok.....but when you remove the lid, it's a bowl chair(furniture). Yay! A cool piece!
Anyways...I think the screens are dried now, so I'm going to go print and go to bed. =_=
