Having been a procrastinating lazy twit over much of last week -- what can I say, I was first recuperating and then fell into a rut -- I didn't get in to pick up my bike on Friday, was busy all day Saturday, and then discovered upon stopping by the bike shop Sunday that during the summer they weren't open then. So on lunch today, I swung by and picked up my bike. The shop owner/mechanic was able to repair and re-true the rear wheel (which I'm probably going to take a look at regardless after work), so that it's back in working condition again.
Having been in my car most of last week, I found myself kind of missing the biking. *grin*
Also, getting my bike back is a large improvement over yesterday where I (a) didn't realize the bike shop was closed on Sunday, (b) managed to lock myself out of my apartment building for several hours while taking out the trash (largely because my downstairs neighbors -- I'm on the third floor of a three-story house -- weren't home), which as a result of I (c) couldn't make the hundred-mile drive down to Hyannis to the Ani concert. Woe.
But today is much better, having gotten in a workout run early this morning and taken care of random chores around my flat before heading to work. Picking up my bike merely heightens the good. : )
