Can anyone recommend a good way to get mildew smell out of clothes? My dryer went on the fritz with a full load of my white clothing, and despite having washed them again they still have that faint rotted smell to them. Help?

Arm & Hammer Plus Oxyclean can pretty much get anything out (smells, stains, you name it). I call it my "emergency detergent," i.e. only for really soiled/smelly clothes.

I'll give that a shot. I ended up driving to work this morning, what with allergies and a little residual stiffness from yesterday's ride, so picking that up after work will be no trouble. Thanks!

*nudges you* So what about July 4th? : )

Hm. Maybe hang them up somewhere in the sunshine for a few hours?

Baking soda! I had huge plastic tubs of clothes in the basement that got water-logged, and I washed them with detergent and lots of baking soda and they were fine.
