Just to get it all down for future reference... a work in progress (will add on as it develops).
Not definitive (I might break my headcanon to go in another direction for some fics), but this is what I believe... most of the time.
Red/Blue/Yellow + FireRed/LeafGreen
PCs, rivals, and hometown characters
- Yellow is canon - Red starts with Pikachu, Green starts with Eevee, Leaf starts with Bulbasaur.
- Pikachu is male, Eevee is female (she never evolves), Bulbasaur is male.
- Red is the product of a short-lived affair between his mother, Akane, and a young Giovanni; Akane does not know that Giovanni is the Rocket Boss, Giovanni does not know that Red is his son.
- Red has undiagnosed Aspergers syndrome and finds it difficult to relate to other people.
- Green's attitude is due to deep-seeded insecurities and abandonment issues; he wants to become Champion to make everyone admire him.
- Leaf started her journey to travel - a way of escaping out from under the thumb of her overprotective mother.
- Red's mother, Akane, and Green's father, Kaede, had their marriage arranged since they were children. Unwilling to follow in his father's footsteps and give up his then-girlfriend (Green and Daisy's mother), Kaede broke off the engagement.
- Leaf's father was a research assistant to Professor Oak; he is no longer in the picture.
- Professor Oak feels as if Kaede is his biggest failure and feels guilty because of it; because Green strongly resembles his father, Oak avoids having to deal with him.
- Daisy is two years older than Green.
- Green and Daisy's parents divorced when Green was three; they dropped them off at Oak Labs and didn't come around again.
- Daisy goes off to university at fifteen to study pokémon research.
- Because Kaede left Akane, Professor Oak feels responsible for her "misfortune" (getting pregnant out of wedlock). He treats her like a daughter and Red as a grandson by extension.
- Professor Oak was the Kanto region's first League Champion.
- Oak and Agatha were rivals during their trainer days. Agatha was also in love with Oak (and he with her), but she grew angry when he gave the Championship (and her) up to comply with his arranged marriage and went into pokémon research for stability's sake.
- The disintegration of Red and Green's friendship and the latter's transformation into a bully was due to Oak favoring Red.
- It was originally Green's dream to become League Champion; Red was uninterested in being a trainer and Leaf was more interested in traveling.
- As children, Red, Leaf and Green promised to travel the world together (á la Ash, Brock, and Misty).
- Red eventually adopts Green's dream as his own in order to force the other boy to see him as his equal. By doing this, he hopes to rekindle their friendship.
- Leaf is an outsider to Red and Green's rivalry, though she "sided" with Red because Green's sudden bullying struck her as unwarranted and cruel.
- Red is a prodigy at pokémon training because he is more attuned to pokémon than other humans; while Green is similarly talented, he lacks Red's instinctual connection to his pokémon.
- Red and Green use a brute-force strategic approach in their battling; Leaf uses annoyer techniques and strategies.
- Red battles by using physical cues and movements to give his pokémon orders, making verbal commands superfluous.
- Leaf eventually picks up Red's command style, though she is not as good at it.
- Green has the hardest time of picking it up, though he eventually does when Red teaches him post-HG/SS.
- Leaf's (Kanto) team is: Venasaur (starter, male), Jigglypuff (male), Ditto, Gengar (female), Dewgong (female), Venomoth (female).
- At the end of Gens I/III, Red retreats to Mt. Silver, Green takes the Viridian Gym Leader post, and Leaf leaves Kanto to travel Hoenn.
- Red, who never wanted to be Champion for the fame, retreats to Mt. Silver because he cannot deal the increased visibility of the Championship. He also does this because he feels deeply agonized by his failure to make Green his friend again/convince Leaf to stay.
- Green is humbled by Red's victory, but remains grudgingly resentful.
- Leaf, fed up with Green's attitude and Red's disappearance, leaves Kanto to clear her mind.
- Neither Green or Leaf know where Red has gone.
Team Rocket
- Giovanni inherits Team Rocket from his mother, Madame Boss.
- Giovanni and the Madame did not have a very good relationship; she felt he was "too soft" and he thought her a butcher.
- Madame Boss's methods were more brutal than Giovanni's; similarly, her goals were characterized by a desire for profit.
- Giovanni pursued scientific research at the Silph Corporation rather than accept his inheritance. Consequently, the Madame disowned him.
- One of the major reasons for the disinheritance was that Giovanni refused to stop seeing Akane when the Madame demanded it. Ironically, their relationship ended shortly thereafter.
- Under the Madame, Team Rocket's focus was on gambling, drug trafficking, prostitution, theft, and so on.
- Giovanni takes command of Team Rocket because he believes that the Pokémon League is corrupt. He believes that Team Rocket has more potential than his mother gave it credit for, and uses the organization as a tool to subvert and overthrow the League.
- Giovanni transforms the criminal organization into a paramilitary force with army discipline and ambition.
- Archer was a grunt when Giovanni took power. He rose through the ranks quickly because of his fervent loyalty and devotion to Giovanni, who he believes is the rightful ruler of Kanto.
- Ariana joined Team Rocket around the same time that Archer did. She did so to gain power and wealth, though she fell in love with Giovanni and became devoted to his cause.
- Archer and Ariana were partners throughout their careers; their codenames were Apollo and Athena.
- Their successes as grunts and operatives gained the Boss's attention, and he promoted them to administrator-level. Archer becomes his right-hand man and Ariana his lover.
- Ariana is the mother of Giovanni's heir - Silver.
- Ariana has a distant relationship with Silver. This is partly due to postpartum depression and Giovanni's intention to have Silver groomed into a perfect heir. Because of this, Ariana has little contact with Silver in the early years of his life, only coming into regular contact with him when he is brought to Rocket Headquarters when he is five.
- Ariana is also the mother of the girl who would become Team Galactic's Commander Mars, who is the product of a relationship that predated her joining Team Rocket. Ariana sends for Mars with Giovanni's approval after Silver is born (I am not too sure about this one... I plan to explore it in an upcoming fic).
- Giovanni has mixed feelings about Mars; while he cares for her to a certain degree, he finds her rebellious attitude to be distasteful.
- Domino was an orphan that Giovanni took in. She is highly skilled in martial arts and is a natural-born con artist. She is undyingly loyal to Giovanni, and sees him as a father figure. She becomes a big sister figure to Silver, though their relationship is strained by mutual envy (Domino resents that Silver is Giovanni's biological son; Silver is jealous of Domino's talents and her relationship with Giovanni, who dotes on her).
- Mars dislikes Giovanni, and has a strained relationship with her mother, who had "abandoned" her with her grandmother while she made a name for herself in Team Rocket.
- Mars and Domino hated each other. Consequently, Domino and Ariana also had a poor relationship, as she felt that Domino was threatening her children's position as heirs to the organization.
- Eventually, Mars is sent to a "finishing school" in Sinnoh. There, she falls in with Team Galactic and runs away.
- Because Giovanni is usually too busy to personally attend to Silver, Archer takes on the position of the boy's surrogate father figure. Silver's relationship with Archer, though tinged with tension from their standings in the organization (heir and admin), is much closer than Silver's relationship with Giovanni.
- Giovanni started the Mewtwo Project because of his experiences with Mr. Fuji, who had been Giovanni's mentor in the Silph Corporation. Fuji had thought up the concept of cloning and genetically engineering a bioweapon, though he later realized the error of his ways and retreated to Lavender Town to atone for his mistakes.
- Giovanni did not trust Gideon, his chief scientist and the head of Team Rocket's Department of Research and Development, with the Mewtwo Project. He tasked Blaine and Dr. Fuji (Mr. Fuji's son) with the task instead.
- Mewtwo was meant as a trump card for use in Team Rocket's eventual coup d'etat against the Pokémon League. It escaped Cinnabar Mansion, however, killing Dr. Fuji in the process.
- It was his son's death that made Mr. Fuji realize his mistakes.
- Giovanni used his contacts in the Silph Corporation to fund the development of the Master Ball, which he planned to use to catch and master Mewtwo.
- Proton and Petrel are brought in as Archer and Ariana's replacements when they are promoted to Executive rank.
- Petrel is a former gym trainer at the Fuchsia Gym. It is here that he learned how to disguise himself and obtained his obscene number of koffing. He too comes to develop a fervent loyalty to Giovanni.
- Proton is a sociopath. He enjoys inflicting pain and killing, whether his victims be pokémon or human. He is extremely narcissistic and self-involved. He is not loyal to Giovanni, but respects his strength. He joined Team Rocket on Archer's suggestion, who found his talents and disposition had some uses.
- Archer, Ariana, Proton, and Petrel were at the Sevii Islands when Red stormed their base.
- Giovanni's defeat leaves him devastated; he retreats to the Tohjo Falls, where he hides in a cave (I feel as if there's something ironic in that Giovanni, Silver, and Red all have a disposition to hide in caves. Must be genetic...)
Gold/Silver/Crystal + HeartGold/SoulSilver
PCs, rivals, and hometown characters
- Gold (Gen II) and Ethan (Gen IV) are the same person; Kris (Gen II) and Lyra (Gen IV) are not.
- Kris is the canon character of Gen II - she becomes Champion of Johto, battles (and loses) against Red, and later retires from competitive battling to become a pokémon researcher.
- Her journey occurs simultaneously with Red's; their battle takes place before Red retreats to Mt. Silver.
- Because Kris's journey occurs at the same time as Red's, she does not disband the Executives' Team Rocket (as three years had not yet passed).
- Kris's first investigation was into the unown and the Ruins of Alph; while researching the ruins, she was sucked into their dimension and has not been seen since. Everyone thinks her dead.
- Kris's starter was Chikorita (female).
- Gold's starter is Cyndaquil (male), Silver's (stolen) starter is Totodile (female), and Lyra's is Chikorita (male).
- Gold is the Champion and grandson of the Daycare couple; Lyra is the childhood friend.
- Gold idolizes Red and wants to meet him someday. Lyra's idol is Kris, who is also her older sister.
- Lyra constantly tries to live up to Kris's example, but finds that she cannot. Because of this, she has something of an inferiority complex that she hides beneath her cheerful demeanor. Nevertheless, she is a very talented trainer in her own right.
- Lyra has never given up hope that Kris is alive. Part of her reason for traveling is to find her sister.
- Silver came to Johto because he heard rumors of Team Rocket; he stole Totodile to fight them.
- Gold and Silver's initial interactions are extremely hostile - Gold hated that Silver stole Totodile and treats his pokémon badly, and Silver hated that Gold kept beating him and getting in his way with Team Rocket.
- Gold is a bit of a pervert. He tends to flirt with just about every girl he meets (except Lyra, who he considers to be "off limits"), and finds Silver somewhat attractive. His first crush was on Kris.
- Similar to Red, Gold has an instinctual connection to his pokémon that makes him a prodigious genius at battling.
- Gold was undefeated until he challenged Red. It took him a few tries to decipher his battle style and subvert it, using his own command style against him.
- Gold is the one that causes the previously undefeated Red to abandon Mt. Silver and return home. Eventually, Red, Green and Leaf repair their friendship because of this.
- Silver resents Gold's success in disbanding Team Rocket and his natural talent. Nevertheless, he comes to respect him by the end of the game and develops a grudging fondness and affection for him.
- Lyra has a crush on Gold and Silver both.
- Silver has severe issues, and is near-sociopathic during the games. His interactions with Gold and Lyra mellow him, however, and he eventually reclaims his humanity.
- Gold, Lyra, and Silver have something of a complex love triangle between them. When they're older, this comes to fruition as an intimate friendship.
- Gold, Lyra and Silver travel the world together for a while, but eventually return to Johto and reform the League, creating their own Elite Four when the old one retires.
Neo Team Rocket
- Archer becomes interim Boss and has Proton and Petrel promoted to Executives.
- Part of Neo Team Rocket's goals is to locate Silver, who ran away from the Viridian Gym after Team Rocket was disbanded. While their stated reason for this is that it would increase the likelihood that Giovanni would respond to their call, the fact that Archer and Ariana were very concerned about his well-being also played a large role.
- Archer's leadership lacks the effectiveness of Giovanni's - because of this, the organization is less organized and more visible, hence Lance's investigation into their activities.
- Gideon, while not a part of Neo Team Rocket, was the inventor of the induced-evolution sound waves that Archer puts into effect during their takeover of Goldenrod City.
- While Silver makes moves against Team Rocket, the Executives remain unaware of his presence. This is intentional, as even though Silver hates Team Rocket, he does not want to be discovered by the Executives (because he both fears what will happen and does not want to hurt them).
- After Gold defeats them, Neo Team Rocket disbands.
- Archer manages to escape - he heads for Sinnoh, intent on finding Silver and Mars (he believes that Silver might have gone to Sinnoh himself to find his half-sister).
- Petrel also manages to escape. He drifts by himself for a while, but later finds Archer again. He accompanies Archer to Sinnoh.
- Proton escapes, but does not follow Archer. He instead goes to Unova, where he settles into an almost complacent lifestyle, only occasionally indulging in his sociopathic behavior.
- Ariana is captured by the police and imprisoned. It is there that Silver finds her. They develop a strained, yet cordial, relationship, though it is interrupted by her eventual escape from prison. Her reconciliation with her son brings her peace, however, and Ariana eventually sets out for Sinnoh to find her daughter. Once there, she encounters Archer and Petrel.
- After being defeated by Gold during the time travel phenomenon, Giovanni does not commit suicide. He does jump into the water below, but he makes it to shore. Lost and aimless, he eventually finds his way to Unova, where he gets a job as a scientist in one of their top companies. He reinvents himself, changes his name, and leaves his past behind.
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
PCs, rivals, and hometown characters (heavily influenced by PokéSpe)
- Brendan/Ruby is Norman's son; May/Sapphire is Birch's daughter.
- May is the Champion; Brendan is the Pokémon Contest Grand Coordinator.
- May's starter is Torchic (male); Brendan's starter is Mudkip (male).
- Brendan and Norman's relationship is strained, as the Gym Leader thinks that pokémon contests are not fitting for a boy.
- May has an instinctual connection to her pokémon that allows her to be a prodigious battler; similarly, Brendan also has an instinctual connection to his pokémon.
- While Brendan is a good battler, he simply prefers contests. He and May often have friendly battles, and despite her standing as Champion, May often has trouble triumphing.
- May is a tomboy, though she is not as aggressive as her PokéSpe counterpart..
- Brendan is originally from Johto. He resents having to move to Hoenn for his father's job, though he eventually comes to enjoy the region.
- Brendan, like his PokéSpe counterpart, is very stylish and somewhat sassy. While many mistakenly assume that he is gay, he eventually develops a romantic relationship with May
- Before their relationship developed, however, May and Brendan were friends. While their outlooks on pokémon were extremely different, they both respected each other because they knew what it felt like to be berated for following their passions and being themselves. It was this understanding that fostered their intimate friendship and eventual relationship.
- May's first crush was on Stephen Stone. While Stephen admired her talent and courage, their age difference prevented them from getting together. Stephen highly admires and respects her though, and thinks that she is a strong woman. Similarly, May has a profound admiration for him as well. They remain friends after the events of the game, though they lose contact after a while (as Stephen travels the world).
- Brendan admires Wallace, but views his decision to become Pokémon League Champion and abandon contests as a cop-out. His goal is to "make Wallace see the light" and best him in a contest.
- Wally has an incurable condition - cystic fibrosis. The disease, genetic and terminal, will kill him eventually. Because of this, his family shelters him. Wally refuses to give up on his dreams, however, and runs away from him in an effort of preventing his disease from defining him.
- Wally's experiences with May led him to develop feelings for her. He becomes devoted to her and admires her strength. One of the reasons for his journey is to force May to see him as an equal and not as an invalid.
- Brendan and Wally have a strained relationship, as Wally has feelings for May.
- Wally's Gardevoir is extremely attuned to her trainer, and mitigates the effects of his disease. While her psychic powers slow down its progress, it is not a cure.
- May, Wally and Brendan work together to stop Teams Magma and Aqua. While May awakens Rayquaza, the boys team-up to stop the organizations' progress.
- After May becomes Champion, Wally leaves Hoenn and heads for Johto. Concerned, May sends him letters via her Swellow.
Teams Magma and Aqua
- Archie and Maxie went to the same college. While they were friends, their eventual polarization in regards to eco-terrorism led to their falling out.
Pokémon League
- Stephen and Wallace were childhood friends - they attended the same boarding school together.
- Wallace had a crush on Stephen, but Stephen did not reciprocate his feelings. Nevertheless, Stephen was supportive of his friend, and their friendship grew all the closer because of it.
- Stephen was Champion, but he grew restless with the responsibilities and the knowledge that he would eventually have to manage Devon Corp for his father. To give himself time for exploring and living free of responsibility, he passed on the title to Wallace.
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
PCs, rivals, and hometown characters
- Dawn is the Champion; Lucas is Professor Rowan's assistant.
- Dawn's starter is Piplup (male), Lucas's is Turtwig (female), and Barry's is Chimchar (female).
- Barry was not originally from Sinnoh; Palmer's promotion to the Battle Frontier's Tower Tycoon necessitated he move his wife and young son to Twinleaf Town.
- Dawn always dreamed of being Pokémon League Champion. Her idols are Kris, Leaf, and Cynthia.
- For Barry, becoming League Champion is a means to an end. His true goal is to become Tower Tycoon and prove his strength to his father, who seldom comes home.
- Palmer and Barry have a good relationship, though distant. Barry taught himself how to battle by emulating his father's televised matches.
- Dawn and Barry became good friends as children, though Barry was often too boisterous for Dawn, who is more ladylike than the other female PCs. Their conflicting personalities often led to childish squabbles, but Barry always endeared himself to Dawn afterwards with a(n unknowingly) chivalrous gesture.
- Barry made Dawn promise that they would travel together and that, at the end of their journey, it would be the two of them fighting for the Championship. Dawn agreed.
- Dawn had an off-and-on crush on Barry throughout their childhood, though the boy was too dense to notice. By the start of their journey, Dawn's feelings had mellowed into platonic affection.
- Barry's constant need to rush is due to his belief that his father could be beaten by a challenger stronger than him at any moment. It is for this reason that he breaks his promise to Dawn and runs ahead.
- Lucas is gentlemanly and refined. Though not a very good battler, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to pokémon. While he is usually extremely busy due to his position as Professor Rowan's assistant, he would want to travel with Dawn and Barry if given the chance.
- Dawn and Lucas develop a close friendship, though it is more brotherly/sisterly than romantic. Not knowing this, Barry becomes jealous (though he is not sure of who).
- Dawn is a feminist, and takes offense at any disparaging comment towards women. She makes it her mission to prove to the world that female pokémon trainers are just as, if not more, talented than their male counterparts. In this vein, she strives to be like other prominent female trainers.
- Many of Dawn and Barry's fights were caused by Barry making unintended comments about women.
- Dawn thinks that pokémon contests are degrading, and is embarrassed of her mother's status as a coordinator. As her journey progresses, however, she comes to shake off her own biases and participates in a few contests of her own (much to Joanna's delight).
- The first time Dawn visited the Canalave Library, she wished it had been under different circumstances. After the whole Team Galactic situation came to a close, Dawn returned to Canalave and spent a few days holed up in the library, where she read to her heart's delight.
- Lucas felt the same way.
- Barry thought the place was boring.
- Before she investigated the lakes, Dawn realized that she wasn't strong enough to defeat Cyrus. Because of this, she sojourned at Iron Island for a few days for an intense training session. It was here that she met Riley, who helped her develop her confidence and abilities. Upon their parting, Riley entrusted her with his Riolu egg. Dawn had a crush on Riley that lasted a while, and the Riolu would eventually become one of her main battlers.
- It was because of Dawn's training that Barry got so far ahead of her. When he was defeated by the Galactic Commander and he lost his confidence because of it, she blamed herself.
- After being defeated by Team Galactic, Lucas underwent some training of his own. He was frustrated that he could not protect his loved ones. While it didn't put him at Dawn and Barry's level, it did make him strong enough to fend off the Galactic Grunts while Dawn and Barry battled Mars and Jupiter.
- When they first met Cynthia, Barry didn't know who she was. Dawn nearly strangled him.
- In accordance with Platinum's storyline, Dawn captures Giratina. Feeling that using a legendary pokémon in her Elite Four challenge would be unfair, however, Dawn leaves it in her box. Nevertheless, Dawn takes an interest in the Renegade Pokémon, and the two become very close.
- Dawn battles Cyrus ruthlessly and without mercy. Later, after hearing what Cynthia has to say about him, she comes to feel guilty about her actions. She returns to the Distortion World to find him, but cannot.
- Dawn's triumph over Cynthia was bittersweet for her, though Cynthia convinced her to enjoy the moment and not feel badly (Dawn was conflicted because she had defeated her idol in battle).
- When Dawn beats Palmer, Barry simply transfers some of his goals towards Dawn. Their friendship survives unchanged.
- After the game, Lucas gains more freedom from his job and goes on a journey of his own. He often visits Dawn's villa, where the two of them chat and relax over coffee together.
- Barry visits too, though he continues to avoid his feelings toward Dawn and Lucas. Time, however, mellows him out, and he finds that he can stay in Dawn's villa for two hours at a time (at the most).
- Cynthia and Dawn remain close friends after she becomes Champion. Dawn often calls her for advice, and the two have been known to go off together to investigate ruins throughout the world.
Team Galactic
- Cyrus's parents had high expectations of him; no matter how much he accomplished, it was never enough. Their harsh treatment of him bordered on the abusive, and their withholding of unconditional love was one of the first pushes towards his sociopathic behavior.
- Cyrus knew Volkner and Flint as a young boy. While the two boys thought Cyrus was strange, Cyrus secretly wanted to be their friend, and hung around them sometimes. His parents' insistence that he treat them as rivals, especially Volkner, eventually led Cyrus to discard the idea of being their friend.
- Cynthia went on vacation with her family to Sunyshore one summer. She met Cyrus then, and the two of them became something like friends. They often spoke of Sinnoh myths together. When Cynthia left, however, Cyrus was left alone. They exchanged letters for a while, but eventually the correspondence stopped when Cyrus disappeared.
- During the time that Cyrus was missing, he concluded that the root of all the evil in the world was human emotion. Feeling that life on Earth was evil, he set out to destroy the world and recreate it in his own perfect image.
- Jupiter was a prostitute in the slums of Oreburgh City. She tried hooking Cyrus, but failed. Instead, he bombarded her with brutal questioning and told her of his ideology. Jupiter, who felt no love for the world because of her experiences of the streets (except for Cyrus, who made her something), devoted herself to the Galactic Boss. She was the first of the Commanders to join him.
- Saturn, intrigued by one of Cyrus's speeches, joined him to see what he would do. He dyed his hair blue after the Galactic Boss. He was the second of the Commanders to join him.
- Mars, resentful of her exile to the Sinnoh finishing school by Ariana, became captivated by Cyrus's quiet yet brutal charisma. Like her mother before her, she became fervently devoted to a man. She was the third of the Commanders to join him.
- Charon came to Cyrus himself and offered his services. His reasoning was that the Galactic Company's resources would allow him to conduct the research he wanted to. He was the last of the Commanders to join him.
- After Cyrus's final disappearance, Mars and Jupiter remain faithful to him because they feel as if he made something of them. Mars, who had never been valued by her mother or Giovanni, felt that he was the only man that gave her purpose. Similarly, Jupiter felt like her life had no meaning without him. It is because of this that they turn against Charon and Saturn.
- Cyrus remains in the Distortion World forever. When Dawn returned to see him, he hid from her, as he did not want anyone to disturb his peace.
- Cynthia visits frequently, but Cyrus refuses to show himself to her. Undeterred, Cynthia speaks into the void, hopeful that Cyrus can hear her (and he does).
Pokémon League
- Cynthia is the world's first female Pokémon League Champion.
- She maintains friendly relations with many of the world's top pokémon trainers - Leaf, May, Dawn, Stephen, Caitlin, Shauntal, Elesa, Lance, etc.
- Cynthia's true passion is archaeology, so she was somewhat relieved when Dawn defeated her. That way, she was free to pursue her passion.
- Cynthia prefers to keep her private life private. Her relationship with the Sinnoh press was quite frustrating for the paparazzi because Cynthia was notorious for keeping out of the public eye unless it was on official League business.
- Romance is not something Cynthia is particularly interested in. While she has certainly cared for some people, she feels that her chance at love was lost in her childhood. Nevertheless, her relationship with Stephen often bridles with intellectual attraction, as they both enjoy the same things.
Black/White
PCs, rivals, and hometown characters
- Touya/Hilbert is the Champion/Hero; Touko/Hilda is the Battle Subway regular.
- Touya's starter is Oshawott (male), Cheren's starter is Snivy (female), Bianca's starter is Tepig (male).
- Touya, Cheren and Bianca were friends since they were toddlers.
- Of the three, Cheren is the only one who takes being a pokémon trainer seriously. Bianca and Touya simply thought it would be fun.
- Touya and Bianca are similar in that they are both rather carefree and absent-minded. Cheren finds this a bit annoying at times, and has to lock himself in his room for a while sometimes to avoid getting too fed up with their ditzy antics.
- Cheren actually went to Trainer School. Though Touya and Bianca didn't attend it with him, they often exhorted him for the lessons he'd received that day. When Cheren actually got around to relaying way he learned, however, Touya and Bianca promptly became bored and changed the subject.
- Professor Juniper really admires all three of the children, but she has an especially soft spot for Bianca. Like Bianca, Juniper knows what it's like to live in someone else's shadow (her father's).
- Touya defeats Cheren in his first battle and every battle after that. Cheren's shock at his absentminded friend's victory over him and apparent superiority as a trainer is exacerbated when Touya begins blazing through the gyms.
- Touya never actually wanted to challenge the Pokémon League - it just sort of happened along the way.
- Like many of his predecessors, Touya possesses an instinctual connection to his pokémon. In a way, it is stronger than N's connection to pokémon in general.
- Touya meets Touko on the Battle Subway, and the two become quick friends. They often meet up in Castelia and Nimbassa to train together or battle.
- Touko was not born in Twinleaf Town. Rather, she was born in Castelia City. Her parents were close friends of many of the trainers from the Battle Subway. She frequents the place and grew strong through all her battles there.
- Bianca maintains a close friendship with Iris. They go on "adventures" once every couple of weeks.
Team Plasma
