Wassup, ass knuckles? I made it home Friday night. Let's roll.....
Sunday-Friday: Spent the week in Wesley Chapel, FL at the Holiday Inn Express. Nice place, but the bed I slept in sucked. Let me paint you a mental picture: take 6 cinder blocks, lay them out, and put a sheet over top of them. Now, you have the bed I slept on.LOL. Anyways, the rest of the stay was really nice. Pool, continental breakfast, complimentary newspapers in the morning....and internet in the lobby. So, I was able to keep up with what was going on in the world of cyberspace that pertains to me. So anyways, I started training for my new job at Serv-Star -
http://www.servstar.org. Everybody at the head office in Zephyrhills was really cool: Walter the owner, Kelly the office manager, Libby in clerical support, and Mary the accountant. Serv-Star uses computerized dispatch, made by the same company that City Cab uses for their dispatch (remember me telling you about that, probably a year and a half ago?), but this program blows City Cab's out of the water. When I first saw it, I was overwhelmed: very detail orientated. But Kelly & Walter were patient with me, and showed me alot. In fact, on the 3rd day, I showed them both a couple of time saving shortcuts...LOL. Billing, deposits, filing.....when I left Friday afternoon, Kelly told me that I should have no problem running the office down here. We'll see. They gave me a company Nextel.....to quote Big Chuck when I beeped him "Damn.....how many Nextel's you got?" This will be my last one for a while. Walter seems like he's gonna take care of me, and I'll keep his SW Florida office running smoothly. I went and checked out the new office yesterday, and it's really nice, just built this year. I pick the keys up today, and start working tomorrow. I drove the 16' box truck home Friday, and it's filled with equiptment and office stuff. I'll be marking equiptment, inventory, and setting up the office. Walter will be down, and bringing my new computer. The alarm company will be showing up to install the system, and Sprint will also be there, hooking the phone lines & DSL. So I'll be a busy beaver all week, getting things in order.
Well, thats about it. I'll be back next week for another boring update. C-YA!
