Using lj as a way to procrastinate on my philosophy paper. The week from hell has kicked off and I have an absolutely absurd amount of work to finish. The only thing keeping me going at this point is the checklist I made, and the thought of getting to Europe after the semester's over. Just during this week I have a test, 2 papers to finish and turn in, and 2 presentations to do. My work load should be a lot lighter after Friday and I'll only have a couple of things to finish up for the semester. 2 weeks of classes left then finals. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I should really be writing, but my ability to focus is completely gone. I might have to call it a night soon and try again tomorrow. I tend to write better under pressure anyway.

There was a fire somewhere in my neighborhood tonight. I haven't seen anything on the news yet so I have no clue how severe/not severe it was. We finally got a thunderstorm tonight after being promised rain since yesterday afternoon. My fingers are crossed that we won't get any rain next weekend because it's the Fairie Fest weekend and I'd rather not wander around in the mud again this year. I suppose I should get back to writing now. I have 180 out of the required 1000 words for my philosophy paper and I'm only on the second paragraph. Win! Leaving for Germany in exactly 1 month ^_^
