I could buy that if they hadn't given Dalton an actual canon location, and Westerville is a two hour drive from Lima. I think we'd all be cool with it if we didn't know that fact.

twice - first when Will tells them their competitors from the letter, and also at Sectionals the host guy says it.

I'm wondering if the writers didn't realise at first the distance between the two places. I think I read somewhere that there is a 2 hour drive?

I am wondering why they decided against having him board there. I doubt many will enjoy driving two hours to school?

Or perhaps in glee land they have rocket ships?

I personally prefere the idea of boarding, since that is what i'm using in the story i've been attempting to write.

niniblack and I were discussing this during the ep last night. She pointed out that Kurt mentioning the warm milk thing could easily just be him saying that's what he did over Christmas break, which did just end. And also when he is home on weekends. There are just too many instances where they show the guys around Dalton at night to really mean the dorms don't exist.

I refuse to accept Kurt doesn't board, because so much else contradicts it (Kurt hadn't talked to Finn since the wedding, Baby It's Cold Outside was at NIGHT, Kurt keeps his pet bird at school, plus it'd mean Kurt drove 4 hours a day). So until they insist otherwise, I am saying that Kurt meant 'every night that he's home' like on weekends. Because just no.

I actually wish I could contact the show about this and be like FUCKING GOOGLE MAP, OKAY, BECAUSE YOU ARE STUPID AND NON-RESEARCHY AND UNDERESTIMATE THE OCD OF YOUR FANS.

Yeah but if I recall correctly - Finn and Kurt didn't live together right away after the wedding. Wasn't there something about looking for a new house that was big enough for everybody thrown in somewhere in Furt? Maybe they bought the house and moved in together after Regionals. If I recall Regionals was like a week after Kurt left McKinley, so maybe it wasn't all settled yet.

I agree with every one of the above points.

You know, when I saw that scene I went, 'What? Seriously?!' at my monitor.

My two cents: If it doesn't fit, ignore it. Us readers will forgive a lot for a good story, more for a truly great story. That's apparently the philosophy of the show's writers anyway, so, in the spirit I recommend you do the same! I believe the most important thing is that your writing itself is self-consistent. If it passes that test, then you're good.
