I'm pretty confident it's true based on the source and the level of detail. I also think that it was foreshadowed from way back in season four when Blaine told Burt he wanted to ask Kurt to marry him because he was afraid of Kurt finding someone else. That's 100% not a reason to propose. In fact, the first inkling of a second breakup was foreshadowed earlier than that, when the older lesbian couple talked to them about having broken up and gotten back together twice. The foreshadowing continued when Kurt told Burt he loved Blaine but wasn't sure about getting engaged so young, and when he said yes in the moment but immediately looked almost frightened over Blaine's shoulder after the proposal. Let's face it, the relationship had its problems after that - coming from BOTH sides in my opinion, in compromising and communicating and maturity level. Rachel failing and having to go back to Lima was also telegraphed from way back - when she burned her bridges at NYADA and then pissed off Sidney, and it was quite clear that if that TV show didn't work out she was going to have nowhere to go. The story was left at a high point for both Klaine and Rachel in the season finale, but the writers were obviously setting up another crash that would have to be worked back up from in season six for both stories.
I think that Dave and Blaine will have a real relationship, where Blaine is rebounding from his engagement and becomes attached quickly, and where Dave provides some comfort to his bruised ego and to his broken heart. I think Kurt probably won't say he wants Blaine back right away because of the shock of learning he is with Dave and happy, but that they will continue to orbit each other for a few episodes before we get a breakup of Blainofsky and a final, satisfying reconciliation between Klaine. I was always a bit ... disappointed, that the first reconciliation was so 'easy', that all Blaine really had to do was ask and Kurt said "okay" both to getting back together and to getting married and more disappointed that Kurt seemed a bit lukewarm about it. I hope that this time around, Kurt is the one initiating the reconciliation and both of them are fully on board and ready for a relationship with realistic expectations this time. I think that Ryan promised us a kiss scene from "The Notebook" and they had to be broken up for that to happen between them, and that we will get something that epic around mid-season for them. I think we'll get another proposal, this time from Kurt to Blaine. I think that the Warblers will be knocked out of the competition early, possibly at Regionals, and Kurt will return to NYADA for the second semester, with Blaine going back to New York (possibly to another school) for spring semester with him, while the show choir storylines with Will/Vocal Adrenaline and Rachel-Sam/New Directions will continue in Lima. I don't know if we'll see the wedding but I hope we do. I hope we see Cooper again and meet Blaine's parents, if only at a wedding.
I totally agree with everything you've said here. This is how I hope things play out, and I kind of believe (not quite trust, though) that Ryan does have a vision for Klaine, and we will get a satisfying ending. I have generally agreed with his storytelling in the past, and I hope this will continue to be true as we head towards the series finale.

I think you are giving RIB way too much credit. They forget their own characters canon, so I honestly don´t think they planned that much ahead.
