FIC: The Residence [2/?]

Aug 18, 2012 00:25

Media: Fic WIP
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: politics politics politics, homophobia, homophobic slurs (these will be noted in further chapters when they are to occur), probably swearing, lots of gay things (but that's why you're here anyway)
Word Count: 5000+ for this chapter
Summary: Senator Michael Anderson is not the first man to run for President, but as far as his son Blaine is concerned, his campaign is the only one that has ever mattered. Especially when it means being even more quiet about his sexuality, and even more immersed into the public sphere, and even more concerned for the future than any high school senior ever should be.

“It’s just going to get worse, you know,” Quinn tells him, as they wander around the Lincoln Memorial. She’s dressed to the nines in a powder blue dress and hat that all the reporters keep asking her about, looking every part the beaming VP daughter. “He’s polling really well.”

“I don’t look at the polls,” Blaine says. He’s lying, of course (everyone looks at the polls), but it’s better than facing the reality that Quinn is constantly suggesting.

( "President?")

A/N: Read the first one if you haven't already. Much love to all of you. Don't know when I'll be updating but hopefully soon? Yeah.
