I'm going to go with my usual Paparazzi prediction and say one of the Paps caught the slushie incident on camera (since they were watching them to begin with) it gets sent to the news station, and they use it in Burt's campaign to show that even celebrities get bullied, and that things need to stop. During Kurt's interview, Kurt talks about the slushies and how he's gotten a number of them, and the public cries out for him, after he describes how horrible they are. Burt wins the election, Kurt wins the election and the first thing they both do is make sure the slushie machine at McKinley is gone for good.
