He angles his head closer, sticking his tongue out a little as he concentrates. "I'm drawing me onto you."
Kurt twists his head, but Blaine only holds his shoulder a little more firmly and continues to loop the pen across his skin. He finishes with a flourish a few minutes later, giving his pen a satisfactory flick in the air. Kurt props himself up on the bed, just high enough so that he could see his reflection in the mirror. Then he bursts out laughing.
"What?" Blaine protests. He rolls Kurt onto his back, and pins his wrists. "What?"
"Blaine," Kurt splutters hysterically. "Is that really how you see yourself? You're missing teeth."
Blaine frowns, and leans away from him. "Fine. Make fun."
"Don't pout," Kurt says between giggles. "Come back here. Look, give me the pen. I'll draw you too, okay? Then you get to laugh at me as well." He cups his hand into his hair, presses him close and kisses the side of his neck.
"...okay." Blaine passes him the pen, slightly mollified.
Kurt makes him lie on his stomach. He squirms a little under the press of the ballpoint. Kurt scratches it along his back until the ink runs smooth, and it itches enough enough that Kurt slaps his other shoulder for moving. There's a long pause where Kurt fusses over the detail of his hair, and a moment where Kurt unconsciously presses long, heavy strokes down Blaine's back with the heel of his palm, sending these sensations right into Blaine’s spine that make him want to interrupt Kurt’s creative flow for something dirtier. But Kurt does finish his drawing, sitting back with a thoughtful set to his jaw.
"Are you done? Can I see?" Blaine hops up onto his knees and twists to see his back in the mirror.
"So?" Kurt prompts after a silence, sounding genuinely nervous. "Give it to me in your best critic voice."
Blaine kisses him instead. "I love it. It's amazing. You really think I look like that?"
Kurt hums, surprised but happy against his lips. "Better. It’s because I'm a singing artist, not a drawing one."
"I think you're both. Can you do you too?"
"What?"
"Draw yourself," Blaine presses excitedly, turning to offer Kurt his other shoulder. "It's like a tattoo with both of our names, except its our faces and you've drawn it. On my shoulders. It’s like I’m carrying us around on my shoulders."
"Blaine," Kurt laughs when the boy tugs at him. "No."
“Please? I’ll draw you too.”
Kurt laughs harder, running an absent finger over the blue ink on his back. “If this is what you look like in your head, I don’t think I’m ready to see me.”
