Ohhhh poor guy. Both of them, really - the almost-guilt Darren has, like he wants so much to be able to be that guy...it's really beautifully-written and kind of turning the old bearding relationship on its head. As much as I'd gladly read the companion piece from Chris's perspective, I feel like this is really where the interesting part is. Such a great piece - thank you for sharing!
