I feel like this story should be framed and put in a gallery! The photos you envisioned and the moments you (and Portia) caught between poses create such compelling mental images. You could really sense the vulnerability, tenderness, intimacy, growing trust and confidence (wow, Blaine is kind of fearless ;) this situation brought out.
Also loved the "Funny Face" reference and Lauren's reactions to the photos (forgot to mention before how it was cute how you incorporated her into the other stories you wrote too, when she helped Kurt view Blaine's recording).
Kurt and Blaine are gorgeous subjects, and you (and Portia) showed them in a beautifully artistic light.
p.s. I wish some magazine would do kind of an artistic shoot with Darren and Chris. (Not that EW wasn't adorable and swoon-worthy, but something a little different in mood and style. They both take such amazing pictures and have a great rapport.)
Thanks, I'll look it up! Anything by them is sure to be pretty evocative and amazing.
(Not sure if I'd want a real life photo shoot to go as far as fan fiction, maybe just something that shows Darren and Chris' loveliness and connection. ;)
Just wanted to clarify, of course I wish the gorgeous Kurt and Blaine pictures you described really existed! They sound like works of art, very tasteful and moving...and beautiful eye candy too!
I just meant I wouldn't need the real-life Darren and Chris in an actual photo shoot from an NC-17 RPF scenario (though I'm looking forward to reading the skintightsocks story when I find it). Just seeing some fashion/artistic shots of them interacting would be enough to hope for in real life. Sorry, probably making less sense the more I talk.
It took me a minute to figure out what you meant about Lauren -- "Postcards from Vienna" -- yes, she seems to have really become a strong part of the group, and as such, I hope to see more of her in fanfiction.
I think Kurt and Blaine both have strong enough bone structures for the "Funny Face" treatment.
And a boy who'll burst through doors, jump on furniture, and sing "When I get you alone" in a Gap is fearless enough to pose nude. *G*
