#9 - Top 10 Newly Discovered Albums
9. Kytami - Conflation (2002)
A neat local discovery that I can't wait for her next release. Something only Vancouver would produce: a Hip Hop violinist. It really is as awesome as it sounds, especially tracks like Manufactured. (aside: I think she just recorded another album, I am excited!)
On Saturday evening, she's playing with The Phonograph at The Maplewood Pub (1970 Spicer Road, North Vancouver) and it's free. She puts on a mad live show, I'll probably be there (edit: given the stupid location for transit purposes, I may borrow a car for this, or convince someone else to come and drive).
