So the ickiest bit of my cold seems to have moved on -- no more sinus headaches and weird goop coming out of my eyeballs -- leaving just an annoying cough and a deep and abiding resentment towards everyone in the world who has already seen the Series of Unfortunate Events movie. Just like every year, all foreign films coming out mid-December or so get their releases here pushed back to January, thanks to the annual Manila Film Fest thingy which I love SO FREAKING MUCH. -__-
Stumbling around on DeviantArt, I found
some guys doing a (print) comic involving children's lit characters all
crossed over and
done up looking like something out of an RPG. It seems to be Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio, Alice, Jim Hawkins, and some guy who has panpipes on his belt in some shots, so I guess he's the Pied Piper. This sort of thing always amuses me far more than it probably should. Especially when I saw that Alice has a
flamingo sword-whip-thingy. YES. X3
Speaking of crossover madness, I had a freakish idea the other day while working on my comic. If I was ambitious/insane/Alan Moore, I could try and make it so that the prince turned into the Beast was actually Le Petit Prince. It would go a long way to explaining the whole rose fixation. Then I'd just have to draw some foxholes in his garden, and maybe a big pond with a flock of wild geese... No, I'm not going to do that. It's far too late, and far, far too insane; and Le Petit Prince isn't even a fairy tale. But it's still fun to think about.
