According to the chintzy little plastic card I have in my wallet -- a card with a picture of me standing on the Great Wall printed on it -- I am now an official card-carrying Hero of China. Oh yes, I am back, by the way. We got back quite late on Thursday night. China was amazing. We went to Shanghai, Beijing, and then spent a couple of days exchanging money for goods and services in Hong Kong. I'll have to write about that in somewhat more detail another day, though.
