Hikaru has his eyes closed as he feel the cold breeze flew through his face through the open window. His head keep on moving slowly from right to left and his lips crave a faint smile; the melody coming from the piano is wonderful as always, thanks to the professional pianist Inoo Kei. It always give him this one peaceful feeling inside his heart.
Inoo played the last part of Hikaru favorite song before ending it with a soft smile. As expected from a pianist; every time his fingertips touched the piano keys, Inoo can play any song and the song end up so good. Inoo stretch his arm up on the air before he get up and walk toward Hikaru. “Hikaru it’s time; let’s go.” Inoo said and carefully grab the latter hand; helping him to get up from his seats’. Inoo walked along side Hikaru to guide him with holding his hand tightly.
“It’s useless Kei, I can never see the outside world again.” Hikaru stated the fact about his helpless life now; but Inoo still guiding him toward the door and toward the car. He won’t stop-
“Don’t say like that… you shouldn’t stop hoping Hikaru;” Inoo said slowly. He glance toward Hikaru; but Hikaru will never know that- he don’t know what kind of face Inoo are making now. Was the latter sad or not- he never knew it… he can’t, even though he want to.
After Hikaru already sit comfortably inside the car, he run toward the driver seat and quickly drive the car away.
It was a peaceful days for the four of them. Yabu, Inoo, Hikaru and Daiki were on their way to spend the remaining summer in a beach somewhere in Osaka. Yabu are driving the cars, he was also the one who invited the others members. He was so lucky because one of his Senpai in their colleges’ had given him tickets to a private beach owned by his friends’. That Senpai can’t go so he give the tickets to Yabu.
Daiki was singing some nursery rhymes while happily clapping his hand like a 5 years old kids. Besides him was Hikaru; at first the latter were just silently watching the scenery but then, after been dragged by Daiki to back up him for the lyrics that he forgot… he started to sing too.
Though that later the car was echoed with Hikaru and Daiki duets’; and sometimes the lyrics goes far from the original one since Hikaru started to add Daiki name in the song he’s singing. Inoo who sit next to the driver sit could only shake his head. He had gave up asking them to stop singing. Especially Hikaru… it was okay and still bearable when he just sing nursery rhymes then to some J-pop songs… but when he added Daiki names’ in it; the beautiful songs suddenly became horrible and suck!
Inoo was trying hard to ignore them. He closed his eyes tightly. Plugging his ears with his earphone and play whatever song he have in his iPod. Yabu somehow could understand the situation; he extended his hand to hold Inoo hands’. Inoo was a little bit startle when Yabu hold his hand, but he didn’t brush his hand off. Somehow; Yabu action have brought him back to reality. The reality which Hikaru was Daiki boyfriend while his have Yabu… someone who willingly to accept him as who he was though that he completely aware of Inoo feeling toward Hikaru.
“This was going to be the best holiday ever!” Daiki exclaimed excitedly while throwing his fist up on the air.
“Don’t get too excited Daiki… you will be so sad and frustrated if later there was some obstacle.” Yabu warned him.
“Hey, don’t say like that… it will spoiled the mood.” Daiki said while pouting his lips cutely. “Right Hika?” Daiki asked his boyfriend.
“Yup, you right…”
“Yeah and…” Daiki moved his body a little forward until it was touched the back of Inoo seats. He crooking his neck a little to steal a glance at Inoo. “Inoo-chan have been so quiet since the beginning of our journey; was there something bothering you?” Daiki asked. It was so obvious that he was so concern with his childhood plus bestfriend condition. Inoo usually was talkative but somehow today he was quiet. And that was worrying him so much. “Were you sick?” Daiki asked more.
Inoo wasn’t paying attention to Daiki. He only heard the last word the latter said because he just unplugged the earphone from his ears’. “Sorry, what did you say?”
“I asked you were you sick? You were not your usual self today…”
“Oh, I’m okay… I was listening to a song and couldn’t hear you… sorry, but seriously- I’m okay Dai-chan.” Inoo said fully determinate. He was jealous with him because the latter own someone he loved so much but he can never hate him. Daiki was his bestfriend and more like his family. Like a younger brother to him.
“Yokatta… I thought you were sick. Because if you really was sick then, we can’t continue.”
Inoo craved a reassuring smile and give Daiki a pat on his head. “Don’t worry… nothing can ruined this vacation!” Inoo said.
This time; he still unaware of what was waiting them…

“So how’s it going so far? Do they manage to find the perfect eyes for Hika?” Yabu asked Inoo while the latter is currently busy with trying to get a new idea for his new song. Inoo will held a big performance just a month from now but still he couldn’t think of any good song. He shake his head lightly. “No, they still didn’t find a donor yet for Hika.” He answered slowly; disappointed and sad feeling surely reflected inside his voice.
Yabu leave his chair that he used to listen to Inoo playing his piano only to go check on Hikaru at the backyard. One thing good about Hikaru houses is that it’s build near the beach. So everywhere you go outside or inside the house; you can see the beautiful blue sea in front of your eyes since many of the windows is build large and transparent. Yabu is quick to find Hikaru there since he is sitting on a bench not far from the glass door. Yabu walk nearing him and patted his shoulder. “Hey;” He greeted him.
“Kota did you just shed some ink on your shirt? Because you really smell like one now.” Hikaru commented. He can’t see but he still have a strong sense of smell. Kota chuckles and nodding his head. “Yeah, I just dropped a whole bottle of ink on my shirt earlier. But I already change cloth. Maybe the thick smell still left.”
“Are you helping Kei with his song?”
“Well; not really, maybe just a little. He said he wanna work it out himself.”
Yabu joined Hikaru to watch the scenery. He is not saying anything; no… he’s not saying anything because he don’t know the right words to say to Hikaru. The latter was suffering from with eternal darkness. He can’t see the outside world anymore. The accident that occurred two years ago have taken his ability to see from him; forever…
Its happened too fast and everyone couldn’t do anything to stop it from happening. When Yabu trying hard to stay conscious; on his mind he could only thought of one thing… how was his friend? Were they able to survive? With only one eyes open- and the other part of his eyes was injured- he reach for the seat next to him. Shaking Inoo body with all his might and in the same times calling Hikaru and Daiki’s name.
He could feel someone from outside, try to pull him out. When he was finally out; he faint and the next thing he could remember was when he was on the hospital bed- Inoo had woken up before him; he latter were sitting on his bed with sorrow clearly reflected on his white -start to turn pale- face. Beside him was Hikaru; he have his eyes fully warped and still unconscious. He can’t blame anyone… he knew Hikaru took more damage than he and Inoo. His face was bandaged in several part too- and him? He only got a minor injured and only his right forehead was bandaged. But only two of his bestfriend was there with him in the ward… his question was- where was Daiki?
He knew between the four of them; Daiki were the one who had the most damaged. When he was still conscious that time; he saw how Daiki laying lifelessly infront of Hikaru. He protected Hikaru with his body with all his might. The latter never forget to protect the one he love the most in this world… not even when his life was on the verge of death.
Yabu wanted to ask if Inoo know where was Daiki. “Inoo, where is Daiki?” He asked in a hoarse voice.
Instead of answering him; Inoo suddenly burst into crying out loud. His words were unclear since he was talking and crying in the same time. But Yabu was smart to catch up what Inoo was trying to tell him by watching how his lips moved. Later therefor; he wished that he never heard it-
‘Daiki was no longer with us… he was already death’
“You know what; I used to sit here with Dai-chan… we will watch the beach together like this.” Hikaru said then crave a bitter smile. A smile that Yabu can understand why it appear on his bestfriend faces’.
Because for Hikaru; losing Daiki was much more painful than losing his own sight. “Hikaru, I’m sorry…”
“Two years passes since that day Kota… it wasn’t your fault. Not at all-” Hikaru said; more like he’s whispering that to Yabu. His voice was so low… and sigh come after that.
“Sorry…”
Kota paused a while. Inside his heart, there is this one question he really want to ask Hikaru but not quite sure he should ask something like that it time like this. Kota bite his lower lips. The longer he hold it; the more pain he feels. “Hikaru… do you love Kei?”
Hikaru aren’t answering his question. He just keep silent there. “Hikaru please… I need your answer.” Kota plead to him.
“Take him Kota.” He said. “Take him away… he won’t be happy if he stay with a blind people like me for the rest of his life.”
“Hikaru, never said like that!” Yabu yelled at him. “You know right, we are trying hard in finding a good eyes for you. You can’t easily lose hope!” Hikaru must not give up; he need to keep on hoping; he and especially Inoo tried their best for Hikaru to finally can see again.
“I need to go now; I’ll come back later.”
“Umm; take care…”
“Yeah, you too…” Yabu get up and back inside the house. Inoo is no longer sitting in front of the piano so his eyes wondering all around the house seeking for him. Few minutes later Inoo come back with a plate of food while he’s wearing an apron. Seeing how determined Inoo in taking care of Hikaru hurting his feeling so much. It’s obvious that Inoo was so busy with his piano but in all his tight schedule, he always have time for Hikaru; It shows how much Inoo love the latter and also shows that he will never be able to have a place there between them. There is no place for him inside Inoo heart as it already occupied fully by Yaotome Hikaru.
Two weeks passed since that dreadful day. Yabu just lose one of his bestfriend and now; he lose his boyfriend too.
“I’m sorry Kota… I can’t bear it anymore. Hikaru need someone to take care of him.” He feel so guilty because he broke up with Yabu in order to stay with Hikaru. He can only hope that Yabu could understand his situation. Yes indeed; he do it because he love Hikaru but it doesn’t mean that he don’t have any feeling for Yabu. Yabu have been his boyfriend for a long time and enough time for him to start to take him seriously.
His heart was tore apart but still could remain calm. He know this time would eventually come, sooner or later… “Go;” He said… “Hikaru needs you, let’s broke up.”
“I should be going back now…” Kota informed Inoo from far and the latter nodded his head lightly.
“Take care…”
“Umm, sayonara…” Yabu say his goodbye and leave the house. Sayonara guys… Kei, if being with Hikaru can make you happy then I’ll help you.

“Inoo-san thank goodness that you were already woke up.” A doctor came rushing toward Inoo.
“What’s wrong Doc? Where was my friend Daiki… Arioka Daiki.” Inoo asked in panic. He shake the doctor’s arms lightly. Daiki was nowhere inside the ward with his other friend and its make him worried.
“He was in the ICU and demand to see you. I’ll bring you there now.”
Inoo never knew that, that was the last time he could hear Daiki voice and saw his face… because after this- only photo of him and memories of their sweet moment together were the only thing left…
‘Inoo-chan, please take care of HIka… I know, all this time you were in love with him. So I’m giving you chance… stay with him; love him with all our heart. This is my last request Inoo-chan-
Please say goodbye from me to Hikaru. I love him.’
“Ah, Kota… please come in.” Inoo welcomed Yabu that one night. He was on his final stage of his song writing when he heard the doorbell ringing.
Yabu aren’t saying anything when Inoo welcomed him in. He seems to be drunk. “You are drunk; I’ll get some water for you.” Inoo said then leave Yabu to go to the kitchen to get him some mineral water.
“Don’t!” Yabu suddenly butted in, in Inoo way. He stop the beautiful guy from going anywhere with holding his hands’.
Inoo frowned. He turn around to ask what Yabu want. But it happen the otherwise; Yabu pulled him back and clashing their lips together harshly. Inoo eyes widened as he tries to get away. But Yabu was far from his sanity. Strong smell of alcohol reeks his nose. That made him realize that Yabu was so drunk and acted recklessly.
When he finally could get away from Yabu, his hand move on its own- slapping Yabu cheek hard. He is patting hard due to so shocked.
Yabu lowering his head. “I… I’m sorry.” He said and quickly running toward the door.
Inoo try to catch up with Yabu but the latter was so fast. When he peeked from behind the widely opened door; Yabu is already gone. Now he feel so guilty for suddenly slapping the latter. It wasn’t his fault. He was drunk.
“Gomen Kota… gomen;”

-Four years later-
Hikaru parked his car besides the road. The road today is unusually quiet. Only a few vehicle had run across him when he walk besides the road. Since he got some times left until the time he should pick up Kota from his school and Daiki from the daycare center; he think he could visit someone first.
“Inoo, you here too?”
Half way, Hikaru bumped with Inoo. The latter is standing in front of their friends eternal beds. Inoo glance at Hikaru. “Yeah, I sort of missing both of them.” Inoo said and he walk to Hikaru sides.
Hikaru crave a smile while his hand moved up to brush away some of his beautiful spouse hair which falling down, covering almost the upper part of his face. “Me too;” Hikaru said. He steal a glance at Yabu graves’ then to Daiki which is located side by side. “Four years have passes right…”
“Yeah;” Inoo responded slowly. His hand reach for Hikaru hands’ and hold it tightly.
Inoo couldn’t resist himself from jumping when he got the long awaited news for the hospital. Finally; they find a donor for Hikaru. And that mean the chance for Hikaru to once again have his sight; raise up. A bright future is waiting him and Inoo can’t wait to tell Hikaru about that good news.
Like some people said; in other to get something… you have to scarify something as a return.
And in their situation; the one who was sacrificed was no other than their own friend… Yabu Kota. Yabu involved in a car accident that eventually take away his life. Inoo don’t know whether he was doing that on purpose or it really was an accident; he can’t ask him, he can’t speak to him anymore, he can’t see him anymore… he is gone- he is leaving him too.
Hikaru however was clueless that the donor who willingly to give him his eyes was Yabu. The information of the donor was keep secret from him and Inoo until the operation ended and Hikaru was fully recovered.
He scream out loud. He blame himself for taking Yabu life. It took the whole three month for Hikaru to finally accept the truth and learn that Yabu was no longer there with him. His best buddies have leave him. It was so hard for him to get up; he can’t stop thinking about Yabu. Why he would go too far for someone like him. He finally able to stand up again; he will fulfill Yabu final wish.
‘Dear Inoo-chan;
First of all, I wanna apologize for suddenly kissing you that time. I was drunk but I was sane. I’m doing it on purpose… I guess; that was my goodbye kisses for you.
I love you Inoo, so much. But I know you love Hikaru… so I wanna make you happy. I give my eyes to Hikaru. If he can see again; then you won’t have to worry about him anymore and I can rest in peace…
I’m not stupid Inoo; I never tell anyone but, I actually have tumor and it cannot be cured anymore. Rather than I die just like that… it is better if I die and decided to give my eyes to Hikaru. So I’m sorry Inoo. Please don’t hate me okay.
I hope in out next life… we can be together. Lastly; sayonara my sweet and loving bestfriend.

“Seem like I have to follow you then.” Inoo said then chuckles. “Don’t forget to pick up Kota too, okay.” He added more, mocking Hikaru because he sometimes forgot about their older son.

‘Daiki was no longer with us… he was already death’
“You know what; I used to sit here with Dai-chan… we will watch the beach together like this.” Hikaru said then crave a bitter smile. A smile that Yabu can understand why it appear on his bestfriend faces’.
Because for Hikaru; losing Daiki was much more painful than losing his own sight. “Hikaru, I’m sorry…”
“Two years passes since that day Kota… it wasn’t your fault. Not at all-” Hikaru said; more like he’s whispering that to Yabu. His voice was so low… and sigh come after that.
“Sorry…”
Kota paused a while. Inside his heart, there is this one question he really want to ask Hikaru but not quite sure he should ask something like that it time like this. Kota bite his lower lips. The longer he hold it; the more pain he feels. “Hikaru… do you love Kei?”
Hikaru aren’t answering his question. He just keep silent there. “Hikaru please… I need your answer.” Kota plead to him.
“Take him Kota.” He said. “Take him away… he won’t be happy if he stay with a blind people like me for the rest of his life.”
“Hikaru, never said like that!” Yabu yelled at him. “You know right, we are trying hard in finding a good eyes for you. You can’t easily lose hope!” Hikaru must not give up; he need to keep on hoping; he and especially Inoo tried their best for Hikaru to finally can see again.
“I need to go now; I’ll come back later.”
“Umm; take care…”
“Yeah, you too…” Yabu get up and back inside the house. Inoo is no longer sitting in front of the piano so his eyes wondering all around the house seeking for him. Few minutes later Inoo come back with a plate of food while he’s wearing an apron. Seeing how determined Inoo in taking care of Hikaru hurting his feeling so much. It’s obvious that Inoo was so busy with his piano but in all his tight schedule, he always have time for Hikaru; It shows how much Inoo love the latter and also shows that he will never be able to have a place there between them. There is no place for him inside Inoo heart as it already occupied fully by Yaotome Hikaru.
Two weeks passed since that dreadful day. Yabu just lose one of his bestfriend and now; he lose his boyfriend too.
“I’m sorry Kota… I can’t bear it anymore. Hikaru need someone to take care of him.” He feel so guilty because he broke up with Yabu in order to stay with Hikaru. He can only hope that Yabu could understand his situation. Yes indeed; he do it because he love Hikaru but it doesn’t mean that he don’t have any feeling for Yabu. Yabu have been his boyfriend for a long time and enough time for him to start to take him seriously.
His heart was tore apart but still could remain calm. He know this time would eventually come, sooner or later… “Go;” He said… “Hikaru needs you, let’s broke up.”
“I should be going back now…” Kota informed Inoo from far and the latter nodded his head lightly.
“Take care…”
“Umm, sayonara…” Yabu say his goodbye and leave the house. Sayonara guys… Kei, if being with Hikaru can make you happy then I’ll help you.

“Inoo-san thank goodness that you were already woke up.” A doctor came rushing toward Inoo.
“What’s wrong Doc? Where was my friend Daiki… Arioka Daiki.” Inoo asked in panic. He shake the doctor’s arms lightly. Daiki was nowhere inside the ward with his other friend and its make him worried.
“He was in the ICU and demand to see you. I’ll bring you there now.”
Inoo never knew that, that was the last time he could hear Daiki voice and saw his face… because after this- only photo of him and memories of their sweet moment together were the only thing left…
‘Inoo-chan, please take care of HIka… I know, all this time you were in love with him. So I’m giving you chance… stay with him; love him with all our heart. This is my last request Inoo-chan-
Please say goodbye from me to Hikaru. I love him.’
“Ah, Kota… please come in.” Inoo welcomed Yabu that one night. He was on his final stage of his song writing when he heard the doorbell ringing.
Yabu aren’t saying anything when Inoo welcomed him in. He seems to be drunk. “You are drunk; I’ll get some water for you.” Inoo said then leave Yabu to go to the kitchen to get him some mineral water.
“Don’t!” Yabu suddenly butted in, in Inoo way. He stop the beautiful guy from going anywhere with holding his hands’.
Inoo frowned. He turn around to ask what Yabu want. But it happen the otherwise; Yabu pulled him back and clashing their lips together harshly. Inoo eyes widened as he tries to get away. But Yabu was far from his sanity. Strong smell of alcohol reeks his nose. That made him realize that Yabu was so drunk and acted recklessly.
When he finally could get away from Yabu, his hand move on its own- slapping Yabu cheek hard. He is patting hard due to so shocked.
Yabu lowering his head. “I… I’m sorry.” He said and quickly running toward the door.
Inoo try to catch up with Yabu but the latter was so fast. When he peeked from behind the widely opened door; Yabu is already gone. Now he feel so guilty for suddenly slapping the latter. It wasn’t his fault. He was drunk.
“Gomen Kota… gomen;”

-Four years later-
Hikaru parked his car besides the road. The road today is unusually quiet. Only a few vehicle had run across him when he walk besides the road. Since he got some times left until the time he should pick up Kota from his school and Daiki from the daycare center; he think he could visit someone first.
“Inoo, you here too?”
Half way, Hikaru bumped with Inoo. The latter is standing in front of their friends eternal beds. Inoo glance at Hikaru. “Yeah, I sort of missing both of them.” Inoo said and he walk to Hikaru sides.
Hikaru crave a smile while his hand moved up to brush away some of his beautiful spouse hair which falling down, covering almost the upper part of his face. “Me too;” Hikaru said. He steal a glance at Yabu graves’ then to Daiki which is located side by side. “Four years have passes right…”
“Yeah;” Inoo responded slowly. His hand reach for Hikaru hands’ and hold it tightly.
Inoo couldn’t resist himself from jumping when he got the long awaited news for the hospital. Finally; they find a donor for Hikaru. And that mean the chance for Hikaru to once again have his sight; raise up. A bright future is waiting him and Inoo can’t wait to tell Hikaru about that good news.
Like some people said; in other to get something… you have to scarify something as a return.
And in their situation; the one who was sacrificed was no other than their own friend… Yabu Kota. Yabu involved in a car accident that eventually take away his life. Inoo don’t know whether he was doing that on purpose or it really was an accident; he can’t ask him, he can’t speak to him anymore, he can’t see him anymore… he is gone- he is leaving him too.
Hikaru however was clueless that the donor who willingly to give him his eyes was Yabu. The information of the donor was keep secret from him and Inoo until the operation ended and Hikaru was fully recovered.
He scream out loud. He blame himself for taking Yabu life. It took the whole three month for Hikaru to finally accept the truth and learn that Yabu was no longer there with him. His best buddies have leave him. It was so hard for him to get up; he can’t stop thinking about Yabu. Why he would go too far for someone like him. He finally able to stand up again; he will fulfill Yabu final wish.
‘Dear Inoo-chan;
First of all, I wanna apologize for suddenly kissing you that time. I was drunk but I was sane. I’m doing it on purpose… I guess; that was my goodbye kisses for you.
I love you Inoo, so much. But I know you love Hikaru… so I wanna make you happy. I give my eyes to Hikaru. If he can see again; then you won’t have to worry about him anymore and I can rest in peace…
I’m not stupid Inoo; I never tell anyone but, I actually have tumor and it cannot be cured anymore. Rather than I die just like that… it is better if I die and decided to give my eyes to Hikaru. So I’m sorry Inoo. Please don’t hate me okay.
I hope in out next life… we can be together. Lastly; sayonara my sweet and loving bestfriend.

Inoo can’t stop his tears from flowing out of his eyes. His hurt Yabu so much yet the latter still and always thought of him. He wish him to be happy always. The last letter from Yabu, Inoo hold it tightly and bring it near his chest. His is still crying. Arigatou Kota… arigatou; gomennasai, I’m so sorry that never realize that I have a wonderful person standing next to me.
‘Dear Hika;
I’m sorry for leaving you without any notice. I’m such a horrible best friend right… haha~
Anyway; I hope you won’t get mad and stay happy as usual. I hope you will accept my eyes. if I tell you that I’m going to die and I wanna give you my eyes; I bet you won’t agree… so I’m doing all this in silent. Sorry once again.
Don’t blame yourself okay; this is not your fault at all. I’m dying anyway. Sooner or later I’ll be leaving you two too.
You have always be my best buddies Hika. You’re my best friend; the best in the world! Your smile always make me happy. I always feel so happy to be beside you; sharing all our secret, playing with you, studying in the same school with you. It was all my best memories.
So for the final; can you gran my wish Hika?
I’m leaving this world… I’m worried about Inoo; please, please stay with him. Keep supporting each other. Love him Hika, love him back. he deserve your love.

“Kei, why are you crying?” Hikaru asked worriedly as he wipe away the tears that slowly coming out from the corner of Inoo eyes.
“Ah, sorry… I just remembered the past.” Inoo replied with a thin smile. A very thin one that Hikaru thought as Inoo ways of covering his hurtful feeling.
His tightening the hold of their hand. “Don’t be like this; Kota and Dai-chan want us to be happy. You shouldn’t show such a sad face in front of them.”
“You right, I’m sorry…” Inoo quickly apologize then glancing at his watch.
“Oh my god~” He gasped and turned to look at Hikaru with his eyes widened. “Hika you are late!”
“Eh?” Hikaru glance at his own watch. “Yeah you right! I forgot to pick up Daiki from daycare…” Hikaru said and then dashed to his car with Inoo following behind him.
“Seem like I have to follow you then.” Inoo said then chuckles. “Don’t forget to pick up Kota too, okay.” He added more, mocking Hikaru because he sometimes forgot about their older son.
