Chapter 1
At each and every high school in Japan, student council are the group of student who run the school. They are the one who implement the law in school, everything you wanted to do need to get their approval first, simply they are the one who rule the school after the teachers and sometimes, they overcome the teachers. Because the student council, can do something that the teacher can’t do… gain the other student attention to them.
Horikoshi High School Student Council are the one who rule their school. They are the center of the attention, the top in their class, the smartest, the coolest, the most handsome, the greediest and the most narcissist student in school. You might thought… -oh another story about the most popular guy and the other one are least popular one- the introduction might sound cliché… but-
Oh okay! Its cliché~
The student council members truly are so popular, they have their own fan club as prove to their popularity. So why the author write this story? Because of one simple reason- none of the popular student council members actually have a proper girlfriend more accurately, they never have one.
Okay quit with the boring introduction…. Let’s move on to the beginning of this story-

The sound of his breathe can be heard as he running with all his might. Blaming himself who couldn’t get up right on time in the morning, now he’s going to be late for the opening ceremony. He fastening his pace when he’s only a few meters away from his new school. He stopped right next the school gate while panting hard. He just doing a marathon early in the morning and now he’s so tired, covered with sweat and his uniform are mess up. But thanks goodness… he reach in time!
His first day feel like hell, he never wish to enter the high school like this. But now, he can’t turn around anymore so he just walk through the school gate casually. Forget about image… now I need to find him!
But everywhere he looks, he can’t even find a clue about him. He sigh dejectedly while thinking if he actually entering the wrong high school. But how could he be possibly wrong? It’s not one time that he saw Horikoshi high school emblem on his school uniform. Many time already since three years ago and he easily can recognize the emblem accurately. The opening ceremony for the newcomer when out as normal as he could see. The representative teacher giving speech, the principal talk about all the achievement the school had got before this… blah blah blah~ bored! So bored!
He yawn again after the teacher finish talking and inviting the next person to give a speech. “Now inviting all the student council members to walk up the stage and introduce yourself to the first years!”
Five students who before this were sitting in row on a seats at the opposite direction from the first years, one by one stands up and walk up stage. So they’re the student council… no wonder why they have their own seat unlike other student… he thought. And because he was a little short and the student in front of him are so tall- he can only saw half of the student council members when they are sitting. But when they are on stage… he can see them; all of them. His eyes shot open and his lips curved an exciting smile. He found him! He finally found the one he’s looking for since he stepped inside the school ground. I’m not wrong! He really is here!
After the opening ceremony ended, he dashed out to catch up with him. But unluckily he only walk until a few meter away before a groups of student running in front of him and totally blocking his way. He try to push them away but he can’t they are too many and he’s only one. Before he’s ready to give one hard push, someone grab his arms and pulled him behind. He was dragged quite far from the crowd to a corner before he finally released. The first year student ready to yell at the stranger who suddenly pulling him but paused and lean to hug him after he know who that person is.
“Inoo-chan!!” He exclaimed while tightening his hug.
“Mou~ I can’t breathe! Dai-chan let me go!!”
“Oh sorry…” He apologize and let him go.
“Are you trying to kill me?” He said sarcastically while rubbing his neck. Well, he didn’t mean it. He know his friend just being overly excited because of their reunion. Inoo smile softly- “Ohayo Dai-chan… glad to know that we can be together again.”
“Un! I thought that we’ll never see each other again! You never told me that you’re going here also…”
“Neither you do you? You never told me anything- one day, you just disappeared.”
Daiki scratched his nape while muttering sorry toward Inoo. Both of them walk together to their class happily. Luckily they got into the same class. Daiki took the place next to the windows at the second last row while Inoo take the seat next to him.
It’s just the first period on the first day, but Daiki already can’t concentrate… his mind full with thought about how can he meet with him, or will he be able to meet him. I really hope he can recognize me- I’m so eager to meet him! I want him to know that I get into his school! I wanna talk to him… I wanna see him, I-
“Ouch!” Daiki hissed slowly while rubbing his hurtful right arms. Daiki turn his head toward Inoo, glaring at him because he suddenly attacking him with eraser. “What?!” He asked him. Inoo didn’t answer his question but instead, he pointed his index finger to front. “Okay, okay…” Daiki said. He understand what Inoo is trying to tell him. Since they first meeting in middle school, Inoo always be the one who’s in love with study. He’s a smart student so no wonder if he wanted Daiki to stay focus.

When the lunch break comes, they didn’t go out like the other student to take a look around the school. They simply wanna have a peaceful school life without any club burden. It’s the first day… the upperclassmen are seeking for the first years to force them to join their club. So it’s best to just stay inside the class so that they can avoid all the ruckus.
But the noisiness can still he hear even at the second floor. Daiki could help but to glance outside. Once he looks, his eyes totally locked at the tennis court. “Yatta! I found him!” He exclaimed, making Inoo to become curious and also look outside. He sigh and rolling his eyes. “Seriously? Dai-chan do you know who you’re looking at right now?” He asked, quite shocked to know that actually his best friend fall for one of the student council members.
“Yeah I do know… He’s Yaotome Hikaru.”
“You know and you still looking at him? I don’t get you…” Inoo said and shake his head lightly.
Daiki creased his forehead. “I don’t get you too… why? It’s wrong if I like him?”
“Yes! Because Yaotome Hikaru is the student council vice-president!” He shouted. But looking at how normal Daiki reaction is; he somehow get it that Daiki didn’t know the true story yet. “Listen… I bet you know nothing when you entering this school right.”
“Yeah… tell me what I don’t know.”
“The five student council members are different from the other student. They’re famous and there’s one rule in this school that you must obey.” Inoo paused, his face look so serious right now and somehow its freak Daiki outs. “You should never get near them or you’ll be death!”
“Eh nande? I don’t get it at all…” Daiki asked confusingly.
“It’s not important… anyway, you better avoid them as much as you can.”
Daiki lowering his head and pout his lips. “But- but… but that is Hika…” He said slowly. He feel so disappointed, what the meaning he get into this school if he can’t get near Yaotome Hikaru. Studying won’t be so fun anymore;
“Wait, is he your Hika! The one you always mentioned to be your knight when we still in middle school?”
Daiki nodding his head faintly and Inoo gasped. “No wonder if you look so sad when I said you can’t get near them.”
“Mou ii… I lost my appetite to eat. I wanna go to the toilet.” Daiki excuse himself to go to the toilet. Inoo wanted to follow but remembering Daiki sad face, his heart saying that he shouldn’t follow and let his best friend cool down. He need time to accept everything-

“Where’s the toilet?” Daiki said while looking right and left. He should have bring Inoo along with him. Now he’s lost inside his own school, on his first day- what could make this day worst? Oh I hope nothing… I have faced too much for just one day! He thought, he didn’t plan to give up yet so he walk a little further ahead while looking at his side, searching a sign that could led him to the toilet. Daiki didn’t pay attention to his front at all and so he crashed into someone and fall backward.
“Ittai~~!” Daiki hissed while trying to get up. He look up to see the person he just crashed into. Yabai! He looks so mad!
“Please pay attention to your front when you walk, look what have you done…! You just ruined my cake!!” Daiki look at where that person pointing his finger and found a cake already scattered on the floor. “Gomen nasai! I didn’t mean too… I was looking for the toilet. I was a first year so I didn’t know where…” Daiki said to defend himself.
The cute guy who Daiki see his height is just around his seem like he will cries… but he still speak nicely to Daiki. “The toilet is at the end of this hallway, turn left at the corner and you will found it.”
“Oh, thanks!”
“What’s going on here?”
Suddenly a voice coming from behind the guy and after a second, Daiki could see who it is. He widen his eyes and somehow, that guy also looked so shocked. But he quickly avert his gaze from Daiki and focusing on his friends. “Yama-chan, what happened?” Hikaru asked.
“This guy just ruined my cake! Now what should I give to Yuto…?!” He whined while pointing his finger to his poor cake on the floor. Hikaru sighed and pulled the guy he just called Yama-chan into a hug. He slowly patting his head; comforting his friend. “It’s okay… you can always make another one right. Now let’s go; I’ll inform the cleaner to clean the cake later. I’ll help you make another one.”
They walk away without even thinking to look back. Daiki stand there with a shocking façade. He just get ignored by Yaotome Hikaru. His chest feel so tight, and he’s hurt. Hikaru didn’t even say ‘hi’ to him and he is ignoring him. He still look so cool and caring, but that characteristic are not for him. It’s for that guy. Someone else but not him… Daiki forced his feet to step forward, he still need to get to the toilet and then go back to his class.
I won’t cry! I will never cry… I need to know why first; there must be some reasonable reason,

“Oi Dai-chan, Dai-chan… tck! Dai-chan!” Inoo shouted his name over and over again before finally Daiki turned his head to him. “What?” He asked lifelessly. Inoo realize Daiki changed attitude, now the latter look so gloomy. He thought that the latter will be okay after he’s back from the toilet this morning but…. Instead of getting better, he look worst. “What happen? You look worse than this morning.”
“Nothing.” Daiki answered and when silent.
They walk back home together until Daiki have to take the opposite way from Inoo. Daiki house is on the right while Inoo is on the left. “Then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye Inoo-chan.” Daiki says his goodbye while waving his hand. He walked alone while thinking about the possible reason why Hikaru acted like he didn’t know him.
“Tadaima~”
When no one is greeting him back, Daiki guessed that his mom is still out working. He walked inside and leave his backpack on the couch before he walk to the kitchen and open the fridge to get some drink. When he closed the fridge, Daiki found a sticky note left behind by his mother to him.
I will be working till late today, gomen Dai-chan… there’s some instant noodle in the cupboard. That will be your dinner okay. I promise I will bring something delicious to eat when I go back home!

“Good! Now I’m all alone, annoyed and also starved!” Daiki sighed and leave the kitchen, grab his backpack and heading toward his room. Instant noodles is not enough… “Maybe I could try cooking something.” Daiki thought what he could cook for dinner. He never make a dinner for himself. He had try once or twice before this and was prohibited to do it again since he didn’t cut the vegetables but cut his own fingers instead.
Daiki heard the doorbell ringing and slowly getting up from his bed. He walk like a snail toward the front door and it take almost five minutes for him to reach the door and open it. “What took you so long? I already pushed the doorbell more than 20 times already…” Hikaru scolding him as soon as Daiki opened the door. “Wait, why’re you looking so shock?”
“Hi-hika…”
“Yes…”
“HIKA!!” Daiki exclaimed and jumped to hug Hikaru. The latter moved back a little when Daiki suddenly jumped to him. But he smile and return the hug with hugging the chibi back. “Ou~~ did you miss me so much…” He said teasingly.
Daiki jumped back and avert his gaze away from Hikaru. “No! I- I Didn’t miss you at all… I was alone and since you’re here, I’m glad that finally there’s someone who can cook my dinner!” Daiki said randomly. Not so random since he did want Hikaru to cook for him.
“Souka… hee~~” Hikaru replied with a smug face. “I know that I’m a good cooker!”
“Urgh! I take back what I said. You didn’t have to do it. BYE!!” Daiki try to close the door but Hikaru stopped him from doing so with his feet.
“Wow… wow… wow… hold on! I’m joking okay, you don’t have to be so shy to ask me to cook for you. I already did it several times right. I know your mom won’t be home early tonight.” Daiki stopped trying to close the door and slowly opening it again. “Sorry for always being a burden to you…” Daiki softly apologize to him. Hikaru smiled softly and get inside. He didn’t forget to pat Daiki head too. “It’s okay; you’re not a burden to me.”
They happily chatting while Hikaru prepared the dinner and Daiki is watching him. He’s happy that Hikaru still the same one. But that didn’t change the fact that he meet the different Hikaru at the school. Behind the happy façade, he is wondering what could be the matter. Did he forget anything? He did read the school rule before entering the school today. Is it best if I ask directly asked Hika about it?
“Itadakimasu!!” Daiki exclaimed while clapping both of his hand and start eating. “Yup! Your cooking are the best!” He commented after the first bite of his curry rice.
“Yup! That’s why I said I’m good…” Hikaru replied proudly. “Ah! And… omedetou for finally being a high school student!” He added and raising his juice glass up on the air. “Let’s celebrate it!” while Hikaru was so excited… Daiki on the other hand; showing a confusing face to him. “Nande?”
“Eh? Why… did I do something wrong?” Hikaru asked.
“I’m going to Horikoshi also… I know you’re there. But why? Why this morning when we meet… you are ignoring me…”
His face turned bitter and they when into silent for a couple of minutes. “I know… and I’m sorry.”
Daiki shake his head lightly. “No… you didn’t have to apologize. I think I can understand why.” Daiki said. He didn’t want to ruin they sweet moment. Leave that for later okay… I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.

When he go to Hikaru house this morning, the taller guy already go to school. Daiki when alone and when he found Inoo, he greet his best friend and walk with him to school. Inoo glad to see that Daiki back to be cheerful today. Few step from the school gate, Daiki spotted Hikaru along the yesterday guy walking together entering the gate. Daiki fastening his pace toward them while waving his hand. Inoo try to stop him but Daiki already too far from his reach.
“Hika!!” He shouted his name. Some student who is surrounding the two student council member turned they head toward Daiki. “Hika! Hika!” Daiki shouted again and again but same like yesterday… Hikaru didn’t even steal a glance to look at him. He just walk away.
Once again, he feel so confused. “What’s going on here?” Daiki questioning himself. He wanted to shout again but Inoo grab his hand and bring him to run with him. “Stop Dai-chan! It’s best if we run as fast as we can now!!” Inoo said seriously and fastening his pace. Daiki who’s still confused don’t have any choice but to tag along.
“Are you nut?” Inoo shouted at Daiki as soon as he sure they are save. He let go of Daiki hands.
“No… besides, I’m so confused now!”
“Urgh! What are you doing earlier is prohibited in this school!”
“Why”
“Because he’s a members of the student council!”
“Again! What with this Student council matter! What’s worn with them!?”
“There’s nothing wrong with them… it’s the fan-club that’s wrong!”
Daiki creased his forehead. “Fan-club?”
“Yeah!” apparently, in this school… they the only group who hand the authorities to be with the student council!”
“No way….” Daiki responded slowly.
“If you don’t wanna give up… apply for the fan-club!”
“Eh?!”

Bye Inoo-chan.” Daiki says his goodbye while waving his hand. He walked alone while thinking about the possible reason why Hikaru acted like he didn’t know him.
“Tadaima~”
When no one is greeting him back, Daiki guessed that his mom is still out working. He walked inside and leave his backpack on the couch before he walk to the kitchen and open the fridge to get some drink. When he closed the fridge, Daiki found a sticky note left behind by his mother to him.
I will be working till late today, gomen Dai-chan… there’s some instant noodle in the cupboard. That will be your dinner okay. I promise I will bring something delicious to eat when I go back home!

“Good! Now I’m all alone, annoyed and also starved!” Daiki sighed and leave the kitchen, grab his backpack and heading toward his room. Instant noodles is not enough… “Maybe I could try cooking something.” Daiki thought what he could cook for dinner. He never make a dinner for himself. He had try once or twice before this and was prohibited to do it again since he didn’t cut the vegetables but cut his own fingers instead.
Daiki heard the doorbell ringing and slowly getting up from his bed. He walk like a snail toward the front door and it take almost five minutes for him to reach the door and open it. “What took you so long? I already pushed the doorbell more than 20 times already…” Hikaru scolding him as soon as Daiki opened the door. “Wait, why’re you looking so shock?”
“Hi-hika…”
“Yes…”
“HIKA!!” Daiki exclaimed and jumped to hug Hikaru. The latter moved back a little when Daiki suddenly jumped to him. But he smile and return the hug with hugging the chibi back. “Ou~~ did you miss me so much…” He said teasingly.
Daiki jumped back and avert his gaze away from Hikaru. “No! I- I Didn’t miss you at all… I was alone and since you’re here, I’m glad that finally there’s someone who can cook my dinner!” Daiki said randomly. Not so random since he did want Hikaru to cook for him.
“Souka… hee~~” Hikaru replied with a smug face. “I know that I’m a good cooker!”
“Urgh! I take back what I said. You didn’t have to do it. BYE!!” Daiki try to close the door but Hikaru stopped him from doing so with his feet.
“Wow… wow… wow… hold on! I’m joking okay, you don’t have to be so shy to ask me to cook for you. I already did it several times right. I know your mom won’t be home early tonight.” Daiki stopped trying to close the door and slowly opening it again. “Sorry for always being a burden to you…” Daiki softly apologize to him. Hikaru smiled softly and get inside. He didn’t forget to pat Daiki head too. “It’s okay; you’re not a burden to me.”
They happily chatting while Hikaru prepared the dinner and Daiki is watching him. He’s happy that Hikaru still the same one. But that didn’t change the fact that he meet the different Hikaru at the school. Behind the happy façade, he is wondering what could be the matter. Did he forget anything? He did read the school rule before entering the school today. Is it best if I ask directly asked Hika about it?
“Itadakimasu!!” Daiki exclaimed while clapping both of his hand and start eating. “Yup! Your cooking are the best!” He commented after the first bite of his curry rice.
“Yup! That’s why I said I’m good…” Hikaru replied proudly. “Ah! And… omedetou for finally being a high school student!” He added and raising his juice glass up on the air. “Let’s celebrate it!” while Hikaru was so excited… Daiki on the other hand; showing a confusing face to him. “Nande?”
“Eh? Why… did I do something wrong?” Hikaru asked.
“I’m going to Horikoshi also… I know you’re there. But why? Why this morning when we meet… you are ignoring me…”
His face turned bitter and they when into silent for a couple of minutes. “I know… and I’m sorry.”
Daiki shake his head lightly. “No… you didn’t have to apologize. I think I can understand why.” Daiki said. He didn’t want to ruin they sweet moment. Leave that for later okay… I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.

When he go to Hikaru house this morning, the taller guy already go to school. Daiki when alone and when he found Inoo, he greet his best friend and walk with him to school. Inoo glad to see that Daiki back to be cheerful today. Few step from the school gate, Daiki spotted Hikaru along the yesterday guy walking together entering the gate. Daiki fastening his pace toward them while waving his hand. Inoo try to stop him but Daiki already too far from his reach.
“Hika!!” He shouted his name. Some student who is surrounding the two student council member turned they head toward Daiki. “Hika! Hika!” Daiki shouted again and again but same like yesterday… Hikaru didn’t even steal a glance to look at him. He just walk away.
Once again, he feel so confused. “What’s going on here?” Daiki questioning himself. He wanted to shout again but Inoo grab his hand and bring him to run with him. “Stop Dai-chan! It’s best if we run as fast as we can now!!” Inoo said seriously and fastening his pace. Daiki who’s still confused don’t have any choice but to tag along.
“Are you nut?” Inoo shouted at Daiki as soon as he sure they are save. He let go of Daiki hands.
“No… besides, I’m so confused now!”
“Urgh! What are you doing earlier is prohibited in this school!”
“Why”
“Because he’s a members of the student council!”
“Again! What with this Student council matter! What’s worn with them!?”
“There’s nothing wrong with them… it’s the fan-club that’s wrong!”
Daiki creased his forehead. “Fan-club?”
“Yeah!” apparently, in this school… they the only group who hand the authorities to be with the student council!”
“No way….” Daiki responded slowly.
“If you don’t wanna give up… apply for the fan-club!”
“Eh?!”

A/N: A new story... hope you will like it since this is the first time I write something that YutoYama aren't the main pair or Yama-chan aren't the main character... this is a whole new things for me and still learning,
a friend of mine asked me to make a story with Daiki as the main characters; so, I dedicating this fan-fctions to her \^_^/
it actually should be a one-shot... but after a while, I thought it's best to make it as chaptered fan-fictions-
