Kurogane liked to stay still, and not waste energy when he could very well conserve it; Fai was the exact opposite.

Kurogane found Fai to be less annoying on cooler days, but he would gladly be annoyed ten times more if he could take the sadness out of Fai's expression each time it snowed.
#03 - Young
He wasn't young anymore, and neither was the mage that he had come to love so much, but he knew that his age was taking its toll on him, and lesser on his beloved.
#04 - Last
Kurogane wasn't Fai's first love, but he would most certainly be the last.
#05 - Wrong
There is no such thing as coincidence, only hitsuzen - what would Fai give to prove that wrong.
#06 - Gentle
There were two sides to Kurogane: the one everyone saw, and the gentle one that he reserved only for Fai.

He would never say it out loud, but Fai was the only one for him.

If he could, Fai would gladly eat a thousand candies a day, but he couldn't, because Kurogane liked to hide all of his sweets.

From the way that the mage acted, Kurogane would sometimes forget that Fai was a prince before he was sentenced to that accursed tower - a prince that would someday be king.

Maybe the magic was against him, but Fai would never know why he couldn't learn healing spells.

The days since he met Kurogane passed in a blur, but he still cherished every single one of them.

Impatient as he was, Kurogane would always gladly wait for Fai whenever the mage asked for him to, even if he didn't know what the mage was doing inside that seedy looking shop.

Cheesy as it sounded, Kurogane never wanted Fai to change the way that he was.

In Yama, Kurogane took command of the army, since Fai couldn't speak their language - but Fai, when annoyed, could send a death glare that would scare the entire army so bad that Kurogane had to hold his laughter in.
#15 - Hold
Kurogane never let Fai hold his hand in public, no matter how much the mage whined - but when they were alone, it was always the ninja who would interlace their fingers together.
#16 - Need
Fai wasn't everything that Kurogane wanted, and vice versa, but they still needed each other, and that was all that mattered.
#17 - Vision
Fai once confided in him that he felt extremely uncomfortable having only one eyes before, and the ninja internally cursed himself for not being there, earning a fist to his head when Fai read the expression on his face.
#18 - Attention
Sometimes, Fai would get insanely jealous of all the attention that Kurogane paid Tomoyo, and he would sulk in their room until Kurogane came back from his duties and knocked some sense into the mage.
#19 - Soul
Fai didn't understand how he and Kurogane could be soulmates if they came from different dimensions, but he wasn't going to question what had brought him and his beloved together.
#20 - Picture
The first time Fai had seen a picture of himself was in Piffle, and when he returned to Nihon with Kurogane, the first thing he did was contact Tomoyo Daidouji and beg for a camera.
#21 - Fool
Kurogane always said that Fai was a fool, but looking back, he realised that all along, Fai had been wanting him to realise that that wasn't everything to him, however unconsciously.
#22 - Mad
Kurogane got mad easily, but to Fai, his short temper and gruff attitude was a part of his charm.
#23 - Child
He knew that the mage could never bear him any children, and sometimes he wondered if his parents would be alright with him being the last son of the Suwa clan.
#24 - Now
He used to dwell on the past, and never think about the future, but Kurogane taught him to look at the present, to look at what he had now.
#25 - Shadow
Sometimes, Fai still got nightmares about when he and his twin were stranded in that tower, and Kurogane wished that he could drive those shadows away more than anything.
#26 - Goodbye
The goodbye with Sakura and Syaoran had been difficult, but with Watanuki, and Fai's magic returned to him, they could be assured that they would meet again, someday.
#27 - Hide
When Kurogane was mad with Fai, he would gather all of Fai's sweets and hide them; Fai, in return, would would wear the furisode that drove Kurogane absolutely crazy for five days straight - in Tomoyo's prescence, of course.

It had been hilarious, to say the least, when Fai had gone up to that fortune teller and asked for her to tell his past - the woman had gone on and on about a carefree childhood - and then completely busted her shop by proving her wrong.
#29 - Safe
The people that Kurogane vowed to protect were Tomoyo, and Amaterasu - he didn't need a vow to protect Fai.
#30 - Ghost
That one world, where everyone was transparent and pale, freaked Fai out so much that Kurogane had to walk around asking - and offending - the people if they were ghosts or not, just to calm Fai down.
#31 - Book
At first, Kurogane hadn't trusted Fai, but now that he was telling Fai his past, he really wished that it had been the mage that had opened the Book of Memories back in Recourt.
#32 - Eye
Fai's eye used to turn gold whenever he was hungry, but recently Kurogane learned that there was another reason that Fai's eyes turned gold - in bed.
#33 - Never
Betrayal was something that Kurogane had never thought about - even when those woman in the capital had flirted with him - and so he had pulled Fai close and kissed him hard in front of those woman, despite him hating displaying his affection in public.
#34 - Sing
Let's just say that Fai had rewarded him very well for that kiss by singing for him in a - not so conventional - special way, when they were together in their room - in their bed.
#35 - Sudden
When Kurogane had cut off his arm back in Celes, it had been so sudden that Fai didn't have any time to reach before Kurogane grabbed him by the front of his shirt and hauled him up into Mokona's magic circle.

“Ne, Kuro-pipi, I'll never stop loving you, ne?”
#37 - Time
Time passed differently in different dimensions, they knew, but they never expected Sakura and Syaoran to appear in Nihon with their children, when only half a year had passed for them.

Fai refused to wash his hair after Kurogane had placed a kiss on it, saying that 'it would wash away Kuro-sama's looooove', so Kurogane got a bucket of cold water and promptly dumped it on Fai's head.
#39 - Torn
He hadn't been torn into tow when Amaterasu asked him if he was going to stay with Fai or take a wife - no woman could replace Fai, after all.
#40 - History
Kurogane never really liked studying history - it was boring; Fai, though, loved it so much that he spent hours upon hours in Shirasagi's library, browsing through scroll after scroll of Nihon's history.

Even if he didn't want to admit it, sending him on the quest with the kid was the best thing Tomoyo had ever done for him - he would have failed his father by using his power wrongly if she hadn't.

Fai had always been a bother, an annoyance in his life, but Kurogane wouldn't have the mage any other way.

He didn't believe in a god, only the Dragon of Suwa, and when he was feeling down, he could always count on polishing Ginryuu to calm him down, much to Fai's displeasure.

Kurogane liked it when Fai was underneath him on the futon: a sweaty, moaning, keening mess as he drove the mage to release.

He liked driving, especially those dragonflies back in Piffle, but the hood of the vehicle itself had been more useful than he had thought.

He would never let Fai come to any harm, whether the mage liked it or not, even from the start of the journey.
