Anyway, an update! Hurray! And chapter 13 right around the corner to Halloween!

A few thoughts on this chapter:
Since when does Syaoran think of Kurogane as his father? It reads a bit weird.
A morally flexible Sakura is way beyond awesome! *-* She's so gangster it's no wonder Syaoran is getting a little corrupted himself...who wouldn't!?

Kuro-pon's a little hypocritical...telling nothing about himself and making Fai tell his deepest secrets...he's got an unfair advantage after all, but he's probably gonna need it with our tight lipped little emo-vampire (who isn't really a vampire here, but whatever...)

I'm elated about this update, but see what you've done: Now I already want more! You turn innocent little fans into greedy stalkers....

And ggghffnrghl, it is probably because I just automatically think of him as Syaoran's father that I didn't think about that I've used "stepfather" almost all the time previously /headdesk
And Sakura is going to seduce corrupt the shit out of that boy ^^

Yep. Probably because Kuro-pon's secret is a bit more directly related to the situation they're in. He's guessing who wants Yukito dead, and to him it's kind of personal |D

By which I mean, huzzah! You updated! A joyous day indeed! ...except its not really joyous, is it? This chapter was sad. Oh, Fai ;A; why do I get the feeling the past you escaped from was even worse than what happened to you in canon? And child-Fai at your feet... oh lordy. I wonder what kind of betrayal was visited on you both in this universe, and why on earth his eyes were gold.

I really like Syaoran and his morality crisis, and somehow the imagery of Little Kitty with a bag full of swag just makes me grin :D I love the way you're building the relationship between them; it's gorgeous and very realistic.

And as always Kuro-templar holds a special place in my heart, reserved for his grumpy, gruff self <3 That song you used... oh, it's so sad, and even more hauntingly beautiful once you know what the words mean ;A;

Though in spite of all that sadness, it was this line which made me gigglesnort:

Well, I'm not sure that you CAN make Fai's past any worse xD But in a sense it is more emotionally traumatizing, I guess, even if it isn't as gruesome. And yes, there will be a better explanation of those golden eyes in time ^^

Little Cat is a weirdo and Syaoran is a derp, AND STILL THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER AT THIS GETTING-TOGETHER BUSINESS THAN THE GROWNUPS I JUST CAN'T B|

And I was kind of like... "Should I make up a language for Valeria?" And then I just thought SCREW IT I will use my own native tongue thank you so much. Mostly because that means I could actually come up with a proper rhyme xD

Now that I recently caught up reading the last 12 parts, I'm so happy I can keep with your updates. ^__^

I adore the budding ____ for Syaoran and Sakura. It was nice to see how Syaoran was seriously thinking about the morality of thievery - and just reaching that conclusion that things are more than black-and-white, that there's grayness and it's just difficult to either accept or condemn their actions. It's cute to see how much both of them need the other.

I felt so awful for the child's spirit lying on Fai's feet. The imagery of him dying away when Fai explains the Valerian superstition was horrible. ;__; The song was beautiful.

Hmm...so we're finding more about Kurogane's past lover - and apparently he was Valerian. Or am I mistaking that part where Kurogane actually lies who he knew who spoke Valerian.

Those two definitely need each other. Sakura is not exactly accustomed to interacting on a deeper level with anyone except Fai, and that's not really healthy. And Syaoran is so very closed off within himself because he's afraid of hurting people. So they are both teaching each other how to open up a bit ^^

All the sad ;-; Hopefully I'll manage to create some kind of closure there. And thankee ^^ I'm glad my improvised swedish poetry wouldn't be completely WTF xD

Well, actually the past lover wasn't Valerian, but yes, it was him, and for some reason he was trained in the language (YES, THERE IS A VERY GOOD REASON BUT SHHH SPOILERS ^^)

Awe, beautiful. =;__;= I am so sad for Fai, and glad that he opened up even a little to explain what happened to Kurogane. I guess Fai's parents died too, but I like how in this story, they tried to help their children. Kurogane's ability is ♥ cool.

May I be a boor and point out a typo? In my defense, I only noticed it since I was re-reading it again (so good ^^). "the emancipated frailty of sickness" did you mean emaciated? (It took me a bit to even figure out what the proper word was, it's an easy one to switch.)
