Iron Smut part II: Setting a time

Hi there!

This is a followup to the intro and signup post for Tsubasa Reservoir Iron Smut. Sorry to be incommunicado for so long, I've been in the middle of moving. But since the comm seemed so quiet lately, I thought it was time to get this show on the road!

I would love to participate in any capacity, assisting or otherwise, because I really love the idea of this group activity <3 Ugh, my problem is, with my time difference, I have no bloody clue what times/dates these actually work out for for me.

(I'm in Perth, Western Australia. I have no idea what time we run one, because we're different to the rest of the country...)

I can't do tomorrow, because that's my anniversary... but then, I don't know if my sat 13th is your sat 13th or your friday 12th... eh. If I could work out the times, I'd be better able to answer...

(Faren wants me to join in, and really I'd love to, but I don't know if I can. Maybe I'll just have to cheer you all on from the sidelines! *waves sexy pom poms*

according to the internet you're +8 GMT, which makes you +16 West Coast US time? so for you the times would be:

Sat Aug 13, 6pm-8pm PST -> Sun Aug 14, 10am-12pm
Sun 14th/Fri Aug 19th 2-4pm PST -> Mon 15th and Sat 20th, 6-8pm.

Mikke, if you'd like another assistant, I'd be happy to participate on sat aug 13 6-8pm, which is sunday 10am-12pm for me, because I will be at home and probably able to help :D

If you could be an assistant that would be awesome! Then we'd have four contestants and three assistants; if necessary, one of the assistants can do double duty.

Due to various people's time constraints, it looks like the best date/time for the most people will be Saturday, August 13th, 2-4 PM PDT. Please be online by 1:30 PDT or so at the latest to watch the staging post (which will be posted around noon tomorrow) for updates and announcements.

Although it would be possible to do everything over LJ messaging, real-time communication between assistants and contestants would be best. Is there chat program -- Windows Messenger, Trillian, AIM, IRC, etc -- that you are accustomed to using?

Yup, no probs with being an assistant~! could probably double duty if you need it...

I have AIM and that other messenger thingy that you guys got me on... uh... whatever it was called, but I also have email :D

I'll try to be online by by 9:30am sunday, which I think is 1:30pm saturday your time (is there a difference between PST and PDT?) and do my best to stay online :D

It's "Pacific Daylight Time" vs "Pacific Standard Time." There's a one-hour difference and it's probably best to get this hammered out >.> Right now, for instance, it's 5 PM where I am. What about you?

I's 8:35am for me right now. It's Saturday morning, too, and I got your message 1/2 hour ago at approx 8am.

Is fine. So from 0830 to 1730 is a different of about -9 hours (or +15, to be exact.)

So starting at 1330 would be... 0430 AM for you. That's a bit early :| We'll see if we can bump it a little later maybe...

But I'm normally up by 8am my time, so I could feasibly do it then? I mean, my gf will be asleep in the next room, but I did tell her I was getting up early to do my assignment lol (This counts as schoolwork, right? Right?)

Unfortunately, if we try to shift things forward by that many hours, then it runs into too late for the British people. >_<;;

Perhaps, even if you can't make it for the main event, you could come in at your normal 8 AM time and help with reading and casting votes for the contest fics? :)

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to be content with judging and reading fics this time :P (Because, you know, reading all these wonderful entries is going to be so hard XD)
