Oh man oh man oh man this story just keeps getting more and more amazing.

I'm not much of a Syaoran lover but "Syaoran cried, and he swiped angrily at his tear-streaked cheek with his sleeve" just got to me. Poor kid never has it easy :P

No, he always has a hard time :( You know, I realized after rewatching CCS recently that Syaoran has now three times in this universe/continuitity missed that grab for Sakura's hand when attempting to save her from certain doom?

On the other hand, this is kinda all his fault in the first place... So...

Oh, but the poor boy neither knows that he's a pawn of the dark force, nor did he ever wish to be one (not considering possible suppressed memories, here)... It could just as well be the mages' fault for not having the personnell at hand to inspect him more closely before he was way inside the castle walls... ~__~

Hopefully, Fai can track Bad Guy No. 1 down through that spy eye, or something... orz

Yeah, or it's Kurogane's fault for bullying the guards into letting Syaoran pass when they (quite rightly!) wanted to keep him out... Or Ashura's fault for killing of Fujitaka even though Fai swore up and down that he wasn't a magical threat. Or for that matter Sakura's fault for being so naive as to show a foreigner and total stranger all the secret weaknesses of the palace! It took a lot of hands to create this clusterfuck, but Syaoran himself is just a pawn.

I guess reading this at work should not be allowed because I had to keep my poker face all the way BUT MFG IT WAS AMAZING, really. I'm a bad reader and I almost never leave a comment but it's mostly because (lol, as I said before), you update when I'm working but thanks for writing this and keep the fandom (and THE otp) alive :')

I.... Oh, dear, I hope I'm not responsible for keeping the fandom OR the OTP alive ;-; That would be an exhausting job! I hope this fandom will live long and thrive for years to come... I can hope that, anyway... :)

Sorry that the update times conflict with your schedule! ^^; At least there was no sexy stuff in this chapter...?

HOLY BALLS, MIKKE!!!!

You of all people know how hard it is to shut me up once I get going but DAMN. I am just speechless. This whole chapter is...guh! And the fighting with the....buh! And - duh!

I think you made a really good choice in trimming this from the last chapter. It's soooooo much better on its own, just focusing on Kurogane and Ashura's fight. It was just...my brain is mush.

Yeah, this chapter ended up (slightly) shorter than the others, but I think I dun care any more. XD

It's about time we had some action, sez I! This is basically the first chance Kurogane's had to show off his fighting skills since he nearly beheaded Kyle in the first chapter. He and his manly thews were feeling unappreciated!
