It's not a problem if you're not that familiar with the ending parts of Tsubasa, since they don't really come into this AU... To be honest, I've been reading it in the English publication and haven't gotten much past the Nihon arc either. ^_^; I'll send you a PM, if that's OK.

Hey May! Thank you so much for your comments, I appreciate them. Don't feel the need to apologize for not being a beta -- I don't have much skill in that area, either! I don't ask that all my readers provide critical commentary for that reason; and by the time I publish the story, it's too late to make too many changes, so I just want people to enjoy it. :)

I am glad that you liked Syaoran. It was a bit of a challenge to write from his perspective, not only because I've never written this character before, but because this Syaoran has never met a Sakura. Who is Syaoran when he's not being heroically in love with someone? In the series, he's been in love with Sakura all his life, so how can we know? I'm just hoping that he still sounds like himself, here.

P.S. Cruel king? Does he come across that way? Oh, my! Don't take Kurogane and Tomoyo's words for it; they're his enemies, after all. XD

*read everything for this in one go* This is really beautiful. I'll admit to being a little confused with the 'other Kuro-sama' of the first chapter, not to mention concerned with the issues that might cause for Fai at a later date, but if it fits in with the wider scheme of things I'm certainly willing to wait and see what comes out of it. ^^
I love your realism and your sense of description - it's there, but it's not overly long or tedious -, and the little hints scattered throughout the story about events of the past - and events that are to come - are certainly intriguing. Your Kurogane is wonderfully pissed-off (and wonderful at being pissed off X3), and I think I love your Amaterasu. She was so real as a character - I've only ever really seen her used as a plot-decoration before.
But yes...this is great. I'm thoroughly enjoying reading it, and hope you update soon?

I don't recall seeing much of Amaterasu in fanfics either -- usually fics that take place in Nihon at all focus more on Tomoyo. Too bad! She seems like such a strong personality, clashes between her and Kurogane are fun to write.

I've been trying to update every week, I hope I can keep it up! I'm glad you've enjoyed the fic so far!
