Mah ear itches.
Ahem, anyway...
Everyone over here's as busy as ever, if not more busy than ever. Still considering in seriousness the move up north. If you haven't heard about that, here goes: I've been thinking about moving somewhere up north. Somewhere that it snows. Somewhere that politicians can't screw with as much.
And now for an update on everyone's well-being...
Matt and Faith are still living here. She's not working, but she's raising their son, and Matt is doing damn well at being a Jack of All Trades. I think he'd get really bored if he ever had to do just one thing.
Joe and Desi are as good as ever. Joe still refuses to work complicated jobs, and flicks needles into cans every so often. Frightening as ever. Desi's cutting hair, making bank doing it. I still won't let her cut mine, as she remains my number one arch nemesis.
Zach and Julia are hiding, or something. They work nights, and I never see them, because our sleep schedules are offset from each other. They're both happy, though, and we talk a lot on their days off. Zach still plays mean guitar, and Julia makes awesome scones. Scones to die for. Scones to fight wars for -- believe me, they're dee-friggin'-licious.
Ao and Sanna are both working hard, trying to make enough money to get their own place. He wants to move away from the desert, too, and so they're saving hard. She works from home, and I always forget the details on what she does, but right now Ao is working for Tavian and Keane doing something. Either way, the pay is good, but the hours are uber long. Barely see them anymore, but they seem to be doing good when I do get to converse with 'em.
The Farrow Boys, as we've been calling them, are all busy trying to get themselves killed, as usual. Gray, Kit, Kane, etc.... They all have normal, mundane jobs, but I see them racing each other on their motorcycles all the time. Not too smart of them. I'll keep yelling at them to stop. Promise.
Stethen remains a mysterious force. I know he eats, drinks, bathes... but I never see him. He just published another book. We had a party for him, but he didn't even attend. Hardcore writers are weird.
James hasn't been seen in months, but we know he's out there somewhere. Last we heard, he was working for the Red Cross. Most of you won't know why that's funny. He visits on holidays, mostly, but keeps to himself otherwise. No contact information on the guy whatsoever.
(Jeeze, so many people to update on... Who else, now?)
Tiki and Jeff are doing well. They're trying to save money to get out to New York, where they can have better family and all. They won't let me give them money, even though I offered it more than once. Jeff's so weird about taking money, but I understand... I was the same way. Tiki says that if they can't stand on their own and do their own thing, they're not worth spit. Tenacious as ever.
Keane and Liza are doing alright. Their son Adrian was sick for a while, but got better over time. They're both pretty tough. He's kinda lazy for owning a company and all, but he always gets the work done. He's better at working with people than managing them, anyway. He's quite the role model when he doesn't have to do paperwork. She's probably the whip that keeps him going, being as strong-willed as she is. They seem to fight a lot, but I think they thrive on it. I think their personalities just work that way... and while I don't understand it, it seems to be some kinda twisted, deep-rooted truth.
...
Most of the other people I could possibly mention are people most LJers wouldn't know, so I'll save that for word of mouth. ^_^;
Sienna, the kids, and I are doing alright, otherwise. I adopted another daughter recently... A girl to whom I'm distantly related too. Her mother was killed by a drunk driver, and although I never knew her, I got contacted about it. They managed to save the baby, but not Christine. I had to do some fighting to get her, but I know it's worth it. Anyone who knows anyone from foster care has heard horror stories, and I didn't want this little girl to go through that... So what's the tally now? Four kids. Four years ago I was certain, without a doubt, that I didn't want and never would have children. Go figure. Married, had two, adopted two. Sienna's such a good mom, and I have no problem providing for them... Anywhooo, though, we named her Mareth Odelle. Unconventional name, but Sienna wanted it, and I think it's plenty pretty. It's got a sort of lyrical flow to it.
That's just about the entire update for the past... however many weeks its been since I last posted. All other news I could give is insignificant or boring enough that it needn't be posted.
All the same, I hope you're all doing well in your own lives... Just remember that as bad as things seem sometimes, it always has to turn around. Always. Even if you think it's impossible... Life's just not as constant as to go badly all the time, right? Right. I'm always right about these things, you know. ;D
