okay people, I need your help! This is a bit early to be thinking about it, but I need to start planning in advance. I want to get another tattoo in November (for those of you who don't know, I have a music note on the inside of my left ankle). I guess it depends on the size but how about the inside of your wrist?

you know, I can't remember ever seeing anyone with a tattoo in either place. maybe there's a reason? ;)

Yes, the reason is because the closer you are to any bone under the skin, the more getting the tatoo hurts. So a tatoo on your hip near your pelvis will hurt more than one on your shoulder, which has more flesh on it. I imagine knees and elbows are so close to bone underneath that the pain is pretty severe, so only the most hardcore people who get their entire arms or legs done choose to have tatoos there.
