The Trip - Intro
So, it's finally happened. I've broken down mentally, and abandoned all sense of reason and dignity. I'm taking The Trip. At 9am Sunday morning, to be specific.
Which is to say, I've decided that now that I'm unemployed I should go across country in my car and visit some friends. I'm hitting Chicago, New York, Boston, Philly, and even Gettysburg. However, I think I'll most enjoy going to Georgia to dine at Paula Deen's restaurant, Lady & Sons, while I laze around South Carolina for a bit.
Wish me luck, good fortune, and no ill weather. Hopefully hours of comedy performances and audio books will pass the time alone in the car. If not, I've got some hip-hop and a tape of Carrot Top crying for three hours. *sigh* Is there anyone that wouldn't love that sound?
Also, McKenney, if you're reading this, what good is there to do in your hometown, if you don't drink?
