Watari in a dorama?!

Oct 06, 2008 15:28

Someone in the lolita community talked about a Japanese dorama called Happy Boys. She recommended it because a lolita appears in all the episodes.

The thing is that I started watching the first episode, and in the very first scene during the very first seconds...

Watari appeared.

Same clothes, same hat, same briefcase where he keeps L's computer ( Read more... )

L Change the World is an amazing film, so much Near, so much fanservice. @w@ Although he has black hair and is from Thailand I think. ¬.¬;; I like to pretend he has white hair and that I'm just colourblind.

Although someone I know suggested that it be renamed L: Adventures in the Land of OOC. ;;;

And what a coincidence, I was looking at Watari cosplayers earlier. ^^

In my world, that kid is not Near. At all. It's not only the colour of his hair, it's... everything @A@;

Haha, from what I saw in trailers, that didn't feel 100% L (L running and jumping? Now he only needs to fight with a sword). But oh well, let's see

Are there Watari cosplayers?? (^^;;;

I don't think there's a single Near fan in the world who has been pleased with that, really (^^;
Just... why. orz

I was just happy that Near was recognised. ;o; Although the complete disregard for his character is just horrid. For shame, whoever made that movie. -weep-

I keep trying to tell myself that these people know the characters better but I doubt that the Ohba and Obata had that much of a say in what was going on, if any. The whole thing was like a bad, overly dramatic fanfiction. =A=

Watching an actor attempt to portray L running and jumping and being heroic was very amusing, I have to say. It served its purpose of entertaining me for a while so I'm kinda okay with it, despite the obvious OOC. ^^;; After all, after watching it you can't deny that the scenes with L and Near were very very sweet. It reminded me how lovely L + Near is and also reminded me of some very nice RPs (which were more IC than that ;;). ^^

And yes, although few in number, Watari cosplayers do in fact exist. Some of them are actually very good! This one in particular made me and my friend laugh: http://ryougasaotome.deviantart.com/art/Watari-is-Uber-Lonely-74839932

Nope, these people don't know the characters better ;;
They've done whatever they wanted with them! (=x=)

Wa, that Watari cosplay is funny! Poor man, always talking to a computer (^^;;
