Japan Evening at my university 07/10/08
although it's been 3 weeks since then, I had to say something about it.
the theme was Tanabata (Star festival)so as the head of the decoration committee I decided we need to make lots of stars! our Dr. that was responsible for the evening even got bamboo trees and of course we made lots of paper wishes.
together with fellow male student I hosted the evening! I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NERVOUS!!!!!!! i was wearing a lovely red yukata with flowers pattern (my sister -> i have a blue one) cause the female color represented Orihime...
we had performances of Shirabyoushi (ma-ma), Kyougen and Kabuki (by our head professor - so good and funny), Haiku contest, Karate (loved it!), Kukishin Ryu Kenjutsu (by our Dr. Dan 8!!), student movie (great parody about Japan's History -> I was one of the extras^^), Cosplay (Shoryuu from Juuni Kouki and Kanda from D.Gray Man) and last but not least Para Para starring me and my beloved sempai with the vocals of Tackey & Tsubasa (Venus) - It was so much fun! almost all the audience participated, even Japan ammbassador!
after that waited japanese food (a.k.a sushi) made by the personal chef of the japanese ambassador and ice cream for desert!
I had a wonderful time and I'm definitely participating next year!
