Another Dir concert
Welp, I got my tickets. So, I'll be seeing Diru again come February. Luckily, I won't have to travel very far, but I'm guaranteed to freeze for them again. I stayed after work yesterday because I knew that there would be issues getting the tickets. People complained about the website and some pre-sales sold out in minutes. I swear Dir en grey has the hardest working and most dedicated fans. I know the website people were like "WTF?!" Oh, well. Hopefully, everyone can get their tix and we'll have a good show. I think the opening band will suck like at the Showcase Tour. I hope I won't have to fight like I did in NY for my position. I wonder if something else will come out before then.../start rant
Which leads me to the Agitated Screams blah blah...why does everything related to Dir end up in an up-and-arms argument?! Personally, I didn't care for the song. I like the music (yay guitars!), but the rawrrawrwwrarwr did not make me happy. I read the lyrics today...ok, interesting. But, I want to put Kyo in time-out or something because he sounds like he's having another fucking fit. Will I give the song another chance? sure. Since I didn't fall in love with it just because it's Diru, does this mean that I don't like them anymore? no. Does this mean that I should be tarred and feathered and banished to repetitive VK indies bands for all time and eternity because I liked some of Dir's VK music? um, no. I don't care what the fuck they play as long as they are happy and it sounds good. Now, if they are happy but it sounds like shit... well, they will get my support in spirit, but not monetary. I don't care which "direction" they go. Just give me something that I can listen to, guys. Ok? Cool.
It's like you can't even state your opinion anymore without somebody jumping down your throat! I haven't been screamed on yet, but woe unto the person who publically says something against the majority. *rolls eyes* It's just crazy. Who knew that being a fan to a Japanese band would give you a lesson in social movements and government?! I'm about to hand over the band to the people who are frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of Dir en grey. I don't care about insta-fans, fangirls, VK, or any of that shit. Just give me music! /end rant
