Tadaima!

Well, I'm finally home from the Big Easy. To sum it up, I worked like a Hebrew slave, I smelled scents that no one should ever smell, I fell "in love" twice, I was asked to be a stripper...all in all I just had a lot of fun. I didn't get more than 4 hours of sleep a night, which was a bitch considering that I had to be at work at 7 or 7:30 in the morning every day. (@_@)

The guys there are so great that I actually considered moving there. Then, reality set in, lol. Almost everyone was so friendly. I don't know if they was just happy to get our money or if they were really that accomodating. It seemed so genuine. I hate tipping, but I was more than happy to throw some extra dollars to the servers and other people we encountered. Man, I miss the south. I forgot how I'm grade A meat down there. I got so much attention and they weren't from horrible looking people like up here.

My friends teased me about my "Yellow Fever" affliction, lol. Whatever, man! I like Black guys too, but some of those Asian guys were delish and they were feeling me like I was feeling them. In one instance, my affliction worked out for them too. I met Tom at a restaurant. He's a waiter at this popular restaurant on Bourbon Street. He wasn't all that cute, but he was ok. He was tall with a nice build though and a good personality. Tony was off the day I met him, so I had to get my flirt on with Tony's Korean substitute. We got free dessert and drinks at the restaurant, so it was really cool. I fought the urge to ask him out though. It wasn't easy, but I pulled through.

I wonder if Tony lives by Aunt Sue. He was naming areas in the West Bank, but I don't know what is the area called that she lives in. It would be so cool if I went to visit and found out that he lives in the same neighborhood.

The night before we were supposed to return home, we met a sexxxy security guard. It wasn't our first time seeing him. I thought he was cute before, but I was totally smitten with Tony so I didn't care. After we talked to him, we found out that he was watching us every night. We talked to him until like 5:30 in the morning. I was supposed to get up for work at 6:30. >_< It was not a good day for me, but he was a really cute black guy so it was a bit worth it. I think he liked Laura and I know Laura was feeling him, and it's not like me to sacrifice my sleep for someone that I'm not trying to get with, but he was a cool Virgo. Now I know what it's like to talk to me. We were TOTALLY alike; it was so spooky. I had so much fun that I was trying to stay for an additional day, but with all of the airplane stuff going on, I decided to just go home.

Marcia said that Hunter said that I did such a good job she's going to ask Susan if I can help them next year. Next year, convention is in...SAN FRANCISCO! w00t! I can't wait!!!! I've never been to the west coast so, I'm going to take extra days to make sure that I see everything I want to see. Plus, that's one of the cities I'm considering moving to, so that would be awesome. The problem is that I wanted to move in March next year and convention is probably in July or August as usual. A big dilemma. Laura thinks that I'm playing about moving. Going to New Orleans just made me further realize that there is NOTHING here for me, except my job. I don't enjoy the area at all. I don't even take advantage of opportunities here. Anyway...

So, I was looking at the J-rock Convention this afternoon before my nap, lol. I think I wanna go. I'm not sure though. But, since I don't go home during Thanksgiving anyway, it seems like it would be a good thing to go to. It's in a Marriott so I was looking at rooms under Laura's discount. I'd save an additional $10 bucks a night from the discounted rate. The only problem is airfare. Since it's during Thanksgiving, I don't know if airfare will lower itself. I'd need to find people to travel with or possibly share a room with because I'm pretty sure Jon won't wanna come and if he does, he won't be fun.

I've slept most of the day today. I woke up at 12, took a nap at 1, and woke up at 4. I don't know how much longer I'll stay up. I hope work is easy tomorrow.

new orleans, travel, work
