Just some thoughts about Taihi

I haven't made a non-private post in so long, it's crazy. I guess because of all that's going on with the Metro crash, Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson.

I was shocked over the Metro crash on June 22nd. I just thought about how close that was to home like literally. Between Takoma and Fort Totten is where I hung out. I mean, I lived there, Mike lived there, Ike's fam that I would visit lived over there, Ike didn't live far from there...those were my stops! I remember being on the phone with Ike looking at the tweets about the crash on Twitter. After awhile, Ike was saying that Taihi wasn't answering his phone and that was the time in which he usually goes to work...everything just went downhill from there. I just didn't think that I would return to DC for a funeral. I never thought that I'd never see Taihi alive again. He was my ace. I won't say he's my favorite out of Ike's brothers, but he just might be because we did so much together. He never forgot my birthday. He got me Christmas presents. He let me tag along to sports games he and Ike went to. We all went out to eat on several occasions. He'd constantly tease me. If Ike saw him without me, he'd always ask about me and what was up with me. He was MY big brother too. When we first met years ago, Ike warned me of Taihi's sharp tongue and short temper. I never got to see it, lol. He was always smiling and goofing around. I mean, he was a smart ass, but he was nothing compared to the duo of Kim and Ike. He was such a good guy. I mean, people say that about the dead, but he was really and truly a good guy. He could be annoying with his loquaciousness, but I'd let it slide because that was just him, lol. He was supposed to come down to Atlanta and visit me and go to the Braves vs.Yankees games at Turner Field this week. Unfortunately, he had to work. How ironic. It hurts so bad, but they say the good die young.

I miss him so much. I'm never going to forget him.
