2 years...
So, yesterday Amado and I celebrated our 2-year anniversary (January 26 marks the date of our first date). We randomly decided to go to Pier 39 by way of the Alameda ferry...in the chilly winds and icy rain >_< The weather was definitely a big inconvenience, but we had a good time anyway. We ate at a nice buffet place at Pier 39, then went to Ripley's Believe it or Not, which was pretty cool XD Then we walked around and browsed the shops going "oh cool! look at that! oh cool!" without buying anything, as is customary of locals who visit the Pier (I think tourists actually buy). I was REALLY disappointed that the Mrs. Fields cookie place was closed down for renovations, and even MORE disappointed to see the Music Box Co. place completely empty T_T It had Wizard of Oz music boxes and snow globes that I've wanted for years and never had enough to buy. At the last minute, on our way to catch the last outgoing ferry, Amado randomly spotted a super-awesome dress in the doorway of this little tiny clothing place. I peered at it and the shop owner invited us in saying the dress was only $30! So I tried it on, it was awesome, and Amado bought it for me (since he hadn't got me a gift yet). I also bought myself one of the cutest tank tops in the world. Then we grabbed some mini-donuts from Trish's and waited for our ferry in the cold and rain. The entire bottom half of my pant legs were soaked, as was my entire left foot for some reason.
Then we went to his place of work, Circuit City, to get him his present from me, which was the max media dock for the DS that he got me for Christmas. He seemed pretty pleased and is not getting good use out of it ^_^
Then we went home and hung out for a bit before I got all gussied up to go across the street to the Tiki Lounge! Finally I went there! It was so cute, and the drinks are really expensive, but pretty big compared to the bar standard. I got totally tipsy off my one Long Island, but the glass was big O_o He had a drink called a Hurricane that only made him feel a little bit.
We stumbled home back across the street, had some fun, and passed out for the night. It was a good time ^_^ We never really do anything lately, we're always so busy and broke. It was nice to go out somewhere we don't usually go and do things we never really do for a change ^_^
Today was my little brother's birthday party at the bowling alley XD I sucked royally, but I had fun. Afterwards, I fell asleep for a while. When I woke up, I felt really bad and didn't get up for a while. Finally I got up, and it was ALL bad. The hot dogs made me SUPER SICK and I thought for sure I was going to vomit...the fuzzy head feeling, the cold sweats...I recovered eventually without having to stick my head in the toilet, so that was good. I still haven't eaten anything but crackers and water since then though >_<
Anyway, I had fun today and yesterday, and got some good pictures to post on my DeviantArt....so yeah. Cool.
