And alive! I came into SFO at about 5pm yesterday from my trip in Mexico. The trip was fun and great, but also long and exhausting. I was very glad to be home.
When I stepped outside the airport, I was feeling this odd sensation I had almost forgotten existed....I was...cold! And there was this stuff hanging low in the sky I believe is called...fog! I swear I never felt cold once since I left Mexico City (which was often quite cold due to the high altitude) on the 4th or 5th day of the trip. It was literally bizarre to feel cold.
After Mexico City, we spent a week in Vera Cruz in Gio's hometown of Martinez de la Torre. It was so ridiculously hot and humid there, the mere thought of socks made me want to cry. I lived in flip flops, shorts or skirts, and the smallest tank tops I had. Sleeping was hard, and I got eaten alive by mosquitos.
Then we spent 4 days in Puerta Vallarta! That was nice, the hotel was beautiful and on the beach with a giant pool, and the weather was not at all as horrible. Although, we did get a rainstorm every single night. It'd be a beautiful day, then come about 5pm There'd be lightning and thunder and puring pouring rain. Still warm though, and the storms were so very gorgeous. It was cool.
I did a lot of different cool adventurous things over the course of the trip, but I can update about those later or talk about them in person to folks. Mostly I just wanted to post to say I am home safe and sound, and very glad to be.
