Hey everyone. ok so here goes my first real post in ages. As you all know I have moved. I used to live with my stepfather and his g/f. really long story. Anyhoo, I felt it was time for me to live on my own. I got along well with them, but it was not like having any freedom. Living under someone else's roof, you usually have to abide by their rules. You don't have any freedom to do as you please or come and go as you please. I had this problem. I'm 32 years old, I paid bills for the household and went to work everyday. I took care of my responsibilities around the house, but at one point things started to change. One day i came home and was yelled at for leaving a few dishes in the sink. Then came the yelling about the cleaning of the house. I didn't think it was fair for some in the house to work all day and then come home and clean while others in the house sat at home all day and watched tv. So I decided to move out and get a place of my own so i would not have to listen to anyone. (BTW I am a tidy person) I had the idea in my house but was having trouble finding a reasonable place for myself.
Then one day my friend tells me that basement apt in he and his b/f (yes boyfriend) were living in was going to be available because the people in the above floor apt were moving out. the thing was the landlord said they couldnt move till they found someone to rent their apt because it would be easier for him to rent the above floor apt than the basement. It was actually a great deal. My apt is always cool because its underground, its 2 bedrooms, a living room and kitchen, 1 bath and a laundry room. I got my own washer and dryer (which was included) I never had one before. My utilities were also included in the rental price of $500 a month. I didnt have to worry about heat or water. it was perfect. The house itself is very secluded. in fact my only neighbors are my friend and his b/f and the landlord. thats it, no crazy neighbors and lots of solitude. I am a solitary person and would rather spend my time either working, watching anime or reading yaoi. I have been here three weeks and I love it. Time has gone by so fast, and is been great. i have gotten a lot of support and even though I am a bit broke at the moment, everyone makes sure I eat (people are constantly inviting me to dinner) and I have what I need. Its really great. Heck one time my friend and his b/f came to my apt and cooked me breakfast lol. He had brought the stuff from his apt upstairs. I can have friends over when I want and guys too. yeah I felt pathetic not being able to have guys at my house. it was a bit uncomfortable. I'm a woman dammit :P The only drawbacks are the commute I have now which means more gas and all the dam bugs. I mean a lot of bugs. I hate bugs especially spiders but i am learning to deal with it. I mean its natural right? I lived in a very urban area, and now the area I live is a bit rural and isolated but actually very close t a shopping center. Its strange. here are some pics
so this is basically my back yard. its a huge field of grass, then there is a line of trees, then there is a another section that has really tall grass. Its a forest outlining the driveway. as you can see there are no houses or roads near my house.
Its very quiet, so quiet and peaceful. I sleep pretty well actually.
the back of the house. My apt entrance is the door at The winding driveway to my apt, its nice to walk along
the bottom near the white car (the white car is mine)
better view of grass field driveway (another view)
Front of house, we relax on the porch Entrance to my apt that white door leads to a space
we keep the garbage so the racoons dont get in it
I have pics of the inside but My house is still a mess and not quite where I want it right now but as soon as i am done i will take pics. ok so thats all for now. Hope you guys enjoyed this little peek into my world. I'll be back with some ramblings next time
parting shot
Believe this is a form of prostitution , but hey that just my opinion
Ciaossu!
