Excellent recommendations. I love the fact TOKIO follow their own hearts and take control of their own music creative freedom despite not having sold as much as they want to. I really hope they break out of the usual music scenes and perform more at the music festivals because that's where they actually belong. It's has been more than two years since they held their last concert and four years since 17 album release which are frustrating as fuck.
Man, it's actually hard for TOKIO to do concerts/albums when they're selling so little. Besides their busy schedules and how much DASH shits on their free time, the fact that they make so little money for the agency probably makes it difficult for them to get enough funding to do what they want. ):
Tomo's been harking for an album and concert since last year, but I figure that since the main contributor to TOKIO's fame is their work with the DASH, they've been told to focus on that more than their music and I just. :3rz It makes me so SAD.
On another note, it was hard as hell to think of songs to recommend because I love everything??? And I did my best to remember all the historical tidbits + things that the members have said over the years they've started writing/composing more and just. ;dsfjlkshdg
That's just ridiculous what the agency told them to do. TOKIO's 20th Anniversary live tour were doing well. While other Johnny's groups have been touring almost every year, releasing singles and albums 2, 3 times a year, TOKIO had to focus on DASH? Seriously, I'm so fucking done with the agency.
Tatsuya also said that they all are so busy with other things that they probably won't be able to do live tour next year. DDD: I'm still praying hard that they will at least hold a live show or two if not a live tour or maybe an outdoor concert like Tomo hoped for
( ... )
sorry to butt into your convo but I FEEL THIS SO HARD
They must be so dead tired - they've been doing this for over two decades for god's sake! D: Taichi has a BABY (i am so happy) and Tatsuya JUST WENT THROUGH A PUBLIC DIVORCE, which probably just scratching the surface... let the poor boys chill for a sec
If only they could break away from Johnny's... *-* but just watching SMAP's battle doesn't inspire much with that horrible apology and everything. And I wonder just how much Johnny's take from the money they bring in...
I don't know what I'm trying to add to this conversation except that I dream of a happy and uncensored TOKIO~~ m(_ _)m
I wish they take a break from all these variety shows and concentrate on music for once. They are almost not idols anymore. They are almost like a standalone band. Johnny's must have take a lot from them considering DASH is a high rating show for TOKIO among other things.
They are rebelling within Johnny's anyways. Outspoken, honest, do their own things, taking pictures with fans, swearing left, right and centre, dating openly, insisting on the kind of music they wanna make, nudity galore. XDDD
I think in SMAP's case, they depended on their manager way too much. And after the manager got fired, it seemed like they've lost their sense of direction in their career as a group. To make matters worse, it looked like they had underlying conflicts between members which they didn't find a way to resolve them.
Happy TOKIO, they are. But an uncensored one? We'll have to wait a little bit I think.
If it only would be a wait that would have an end...
But they must bring on quite a lot to Johnny's since - i actually went and counted - between them they do 12 shows + dash and kake. And then mabo has his drama, and the rest have each their own radio show! Ugh. I love to see them but for them to have to put off doing music and concerts...
I love that they're rebelling with what they can though<3
