Rather AU with some resemblance to reality
Jinwoon was miserable. There was absolutely no doubt about that. Just as 2AM’s promotions for “I Was Wrong” came to a close, everyone knew that the 2AM maknae was miserable and it was all Hwang Chansung’s fault. The 2 OneDay Maknae’s odd-not-quite-fight-but-Chansung’s-Ignoring-Jinwoon-Thus-Making-Jinwoon-Miserable fight had spread from idol to idol but the OneDay boys knew it first. Simply because after the morning that Chansung had apologized for something that no one knew what the hell he was going on about, he pulled a disappearing act. After that the only time that anyone actually saw him was during 2PM’s promotions for “Without You;” even their manager wondered how the hell did he manage to show up, do the program, them leave like he was never there.
It became almost heartbreaking really. To see Jinwoon try to approach Chansung when he saw the older boy but only to have the older boy flee around the corner like Jinwoon had the plague. The younger began to walk around with a permanent kicked puppy expression and he’d break into tears at odd moments. Their manager had to cancel a program because Jinwoon wouldn’t stop crying once. When Seulong and the other OneDay boys had enough, JoKwon started getting used to opening the door during filming for “We Got Married” to see a teary, red eyed Jinwoon. Good thing the cameras were off. Other members of the JYP family were victims to Jinwoon’s miserable-ness, not even the Wonder Girls and JYP in the States were let off.
Next to the JYP family, Jinwoon’s same year friends, SHINee’s Key, KARA’s Nicole, MBLAQ’s Mir and SNSD’s Seohyun were his fall backs when the others left him alone for a while. After about the third time the quintet met up, with Jinwoon still teary eyed, the bags under his eyes becoming rather prominent, Seohyun and Nicole declared that the next time they saw Hwang Chansung, he was a dead man. Key took to leaving scathing messages on Chansung’s phone and Mir could only let his eyes flicker before he went back to comforting Jinwoon, and at the same time trying to stop him for flagging down another waiter for another glass of soju.
He drank a lot when he was miserable.
Seohyun and Nicole actually carried out their threat and when Jinwoon found out that both girls had practically pounced on 2PM’s maknae (much to the surprise of Seohyun’s SNSD unnies), he felt even more depressed. It didn’t really help when he saw the bruise on Chansung’s face some days later when the duo ran into each other at the JYP building. The tall 90-er just muttered a short, “I’m fine,” in response to Jinwoon’s “Hyung!” before leaving for another schedule.
It was probably their first words exchanged in almost 2 weeks.
The OneDay boys were victims to their youngest member crying for hours. Eventually, they called for backup and the SoShi girls and KARA had shown up in an attempt to comfort him while the other members tried to reach Chansung.
He answered no one’s call. Not even Yoona’s who pretty much left a shrieking message for him. Eventually, Jinwoon was the last caller to try and everyone’s heart pretty much broke when the maknae left a message consisting of sniffles, sobbing, “Hyung what did I do?” and “I miss you hyung. Come back,”
No one knew that to say when there was no reply call.
2 days later, after Jinwoon’s teary, heart-breaking message, he received a call from Super Junior’s Kim Heechul of all people. There was no explanation or a reason to how he got the number just an annoyed, short, “Yah, Jung Jinwoon, he’s at my place. You can get my key from Donghae,”
Half an hour later, Super Junior’s Ryeowook was almost bowled over when he opened the door to see one panting Jung Jinwoon, MBLAQ’s Mir and SHINee’s Key and Kim Jonghyun with him. Donghae raised an eyebrow when he saw them and Jonghyun shrugged, Mir smiling faintly. The 86-er just dug out his keys before handing them off to Jinwoon. The quartet was out the door and down the stairs in seconds.
Sungmin whistled lowly and he said simply, “I hope that Heechul-hyung knows what he’s doing,”
Donghae just grinned. “They’ll be fine. Cheulyong-ah and Jjong were with them,”

Of all places that he could have gone, to any one of them in the world, he fled to Heechul’s first. Only because if he had gone to Jaebummie-hyung’s, the short Korean-American would flay him alive for being an idiot and for nearly fucking up. So instead, he fled to Kim Heechul’s, listen to him snarl at him for running away and being an idiot, and then he listened to an expensive over-seas call from his leader about fucking up.
That had been almost 2 weeks ago.
Chansung blinked blearily when he heard the door open and his eyes flickered towards the hall before he let his eyes roll back and they slid shut. His body was sprawled out on the couch and his head was resting along the armrest with his feet dangling off the other side. There were footsteps and hushed voices and Chansung let out a soft sigh. He supposed that Heechul-hyung was back from his schedule…and with guests. He felt too terrible to deal with guests right now.
“Hyung!” the shriek rang loudly and Chansung looked up in time to see some 6-foot, 130-something pounds of someone collide into him. He coughed in surprise, inwardly wincing before blinking blearily down at soft orange hair. There was a moment of hesitance before he let his arms curl around the younger boy and the guilt he had been feeling for the past weeks tripled when he felt the younger tremble in his arms and tears soak through his shirt. “H-Hyung, m-mianhae,”
Chansung looked up to see Jonghyun, Mir, and Key, the former two nodding faintly, the latter one frowning darkly at him. Chansung eventually gave a faint smile before gently embracing the younger male before saying quietly, “Yah, Jinwoonie, that’s supposed to be my line,” Jinwoon gave an odd laugh-sob combo. He shifted and Jinwoon sat back, legs dangling off the couch and his eyes landed on a patch of red beginning to soak through the other’s blue and white tee.
“Hyung?” he asked shakily, tears drying on his face as his eyes widened and Jonghyun gently led the other off of Chansung and Mir stood next to him, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.
“If Heechul-hyung didn’t call us when he did,” and Mir just shook his head before reaching out to press his palm against Chansung’s forehead. “You’ve got quite the fever hyung. I’m sure you can cook an egg on your face,”
“I know,” and Chansung sat back, an arm draping over his eyes. “The wild ones 2 nights ago were terrible. I’m surprised that I got away. I think some of the others were worse than me,”
“Well they had brains. Gyuri-noona and Seungri-hyung went for healing almost immediately after they got back to their dorms. Everyone else came to me. You were the only stupid one,” Mir said simply before he reached out, pulled up Chansung’s shirt and splayed his hands flat against Chansung’s chest, over the darkening scab and ugly gash like mark. There was a low hiss and there was the sudden stench of something burning. Key’s eyes widened and Jinwoon squeaked; eyes landed onto his hyung’s torso where there was-OMG! There was fire! His hyung was burning!! He had half a mind to run off screaming when Chansung lightly caught his hand, running the pad of his thumb over the back of it, his long fingers gently curling around his wrist to feel the drum of his pulse against his fingers.
Jinwoon paused, looking down. Behind the couch, Key looked beyond confused, brows furrowed. There was a strange light in his eyes and Jonghyun had moved towards the door, arms crossed and his shorter, slighter frame somehow managed to fill up the entire doorway. Jinwoon looked up at him before looking back down towards Chansung.
His teeth were gritted in pain, eyes closing and his body was tensed. Gentle flames, although Jinwoon would like to disagree that fire was not gentle, licked up and down his torso and there was the vague smell of burning flesh. Jinwoon shivered and Chansung looked up at him, feeling the tremble through his fingers before he slowly let go, as if he was saying without words that it was okay if Jinwoon ran then. There was a second’s pause of hesitance before Jinwoon caught the other’s hand in his own just as it was about to leave completely and he smiled faintly. The pale orange haired youth just sat on the floor, hand holding Chansung’s and he let his head rest onto the couch, dark eyes watching as broken skin slowly mended under the push of fire.

“What the fuck was that?!” Key shrieked. There was a moment’s pause, eyes flickering between Jonghyun and Mir. Jinwoon just pulled himself up to sit on the now vacated couch, eyes a little bit unfocused. Footsteps rounded the corner and Chansung re-entered the room, tugging a clean tank top over his head. He took a seat on the couch, brows furrowing slightly when Jinwoon immediately leaned into him. The old-faced 90-er looked up before Key could shriek again and he turned to Jonghyun before asking, “And you couldn’t bring Jinki-hyung instead?”
“He had a schedule,” Jonghyun answered with a shrug. “And Kibum-ah insisted. What could I do then?”
“Tie him up and leave him,” Mir suggested. Key glowered at him and Jonghyun blinked. “I do that to Joonie-hyung when he sleeps. We share the same room. He never knows it’s me,”
“I just have one comment,” and Jonghyun turned to face Chansung who blinked at him. “You had Heechulie-hyung and I help you at three in the morning 2 weeks ago,” Chansung coughed and Jonghyun snorted. “I told you the guilt would kill you,”
“What the fuck is going on?” Key hissed finally. Jinwoon blinked slowly, as if he was coming out of a daze and he cuddled up to Chansung. He turned to look up at Chansung and he suddenly bit the older boy’s arm. He blinked in surprised and looked down. Jinwoon looked up and frowned, teeth dislodging from his arm.
“Hyung, you came out of the mirror,” Chansung blinked and swallowed thickly. Jinwoon pounced, pretty much dislodging the two of them off the couch. “HYUNG!! Do you know how much time you would have saved us!?! We wouldn’t have been late so much!!”
So ah, here's the next chapter. I guess it didn't explain as much as I thought it would have. DX Sorry. My brain didn't really want to work with me.
