Need No Words || Choi Minho x Kim Jonghyun || 375 words.
It was fucking cold, he noted quietly as he shoved his hands into his pockets, shivering as he walked aimlessly, having no destination in mind. The wind was bitter and the sky was clear and bright, the moon shining down on him as he walked. Snow, days old and frozen over time and time again crinkled and crunched under his feet as he walked.
If anyone asked what the hell Kim Jonghyun was doing out in the middle of the night walking in freezing cold temperatures, he wouldn’t know how to answer them. Of course, none of his friends would ask anyways. They never bothered with asking or bothering him for petty things. Well, except for Kibum of course, but Kibum was a good friend. Even with his nagging habits.
Jonghyun just supposed that he wanted some time to himself. At least a little bit.
He stopped at the bridge over seeing the lake in the park, his arms resting on the bar, his upper body leaning out over it and he looked down at the semi-calm, semi-frozen water below. He was quiet, eyes closing and his mind contemplative. A slight smile curved his lips and he heaved himself up, sitting on the rail. His eyes closed, his legs hooking onto the bar and he opened his arms out on either side of him. Jonghyun just admired the silence, thinking about how different it was from the big bustling city.
He almost jumped out of his skin, and off the bridge, into the freezing depths below when arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him back into a solid chest. For a moment, Jonghyun was surprised before he laughed softly. Minho said nothing and just intertwined their hands together, his head resting on top of Jonghyun’s. They said nothing and they just stood there, on the bridge.
Minho smiled softly and kissed the crown of Jonghyun’s head and Jonghyun smiled, blushing pink and he tugged softly on Minho’s hand. He turned his palm up to face the both of them before gently tracing letters into his palm. Minho smiled softly and then took Jonghyun’s palm, gently writing out the same words before pressing a kiss to their intertwined hands.
“I love you,”
“I love you too,”
On the Ice || Lee Taemin x Choi Jinri || 423 Words
Choi Jinri whined softly and wondered how Lee Taemin got her to agree to his crazy plan. She shook her head as she teetered unsteadily in the skates. It was probably his stupid smile, his bright eyes, and the childish glee when he asked her. It was probably the way he promised it would be fun that she agreed. Actually, in reality, it was because he took her hands and pleaded. She had been a little more than surprised that he took her hands to listen to his request.
So here she was with Lee Taemin at a skating rink. Only one problem of course:
She couldn’t ice skate.
He let out a cheerful whoop when they got to the ice and he happily slid onto it, movements smooth as he skated and a few people stopped to stare because he was just as graceful on the ice as he was on a dance floor. Taemin beamed out on the ice and waved at her.
“Come on Jin-ah,” she started to shake her head and he pouted. Ooh, she hated his pouts sometimes and she hesitantly stepped out.
Her first few steps were okay then she slipped and landed hard on the ice. The cold instantly seeped into her bones and she bit her lip, feeling stupid. Skates skid to a halt in front of her and she looked up. Taemin looked worried and he extended a hand, gently pulling her up. “Jin-ah are you alright?”
Her cheeks flushed, embarrassed, and she turned to get off the ice. His hand gently caught hers and she jerked, squeaking as she was gently pulled back and Taemin laughed softly, his breath hot against her ears as he gently hugged her.
“I’m not going to skate by myself Jin-ah. There’s no fun in that,” Jinri squirmed, a little bit uncomfortable at the closeness, her stomach doing flips and she was sure that her body temperature suddenly raised a few degrees, her cheeks warming. His words were soft as he spoke, “Krystal told me. About how you don’t know how to skate,” He gently turned her and smiled that cute smile of his again. “But I still want you to skate with me,”
“I-I d-don’t,”
“I’ll teach you,” and Taemin gently joined their hands before he squeezed gently. He smiled and he gently skated backwards, pulling Jinri forward. She squeaked automatically and he grabbed her flailing hand. Her eyes were wide as she looked at him and he smiled softly.
Don’t worry. I won’t let you go.
Hand in Hand || Lee Kikwang x Son Dongwoon || 333 words
It was late, the clock ticking in the room as Son Dongwoon went about cleaning up. He had the late shift at the coffee shop and cleaning up was always his job. He moved about, pushing in chairs so they didn’t stick out awkwardly and he wiped down the polished tops of the tables. It didn’t take him long to finish and in minutes, Dongwoon was standing outside in his thick white winter coat, locking up.
He only finished putting the keys into his pockets when Dongwoon was knocked to the ground from behind. A kiss was planted on his lips and Dongwoon almost panicked until he realized it was just his boyfriend. Dongwoon laughed again and the other man pulled back, his eyes twinkling, folding into his trademarked eye smile.
“Hi-yeom Woon-ah!” Lee Kikwang chirped and Dongwoon gently pulled the two of them to their feet but not before stealing a kiss from Kikwang, this one a little bit softer than the cheerful smooch that Kikwang had given him earlier. Kikwang, in his bright orange jacket sighed happily.
“Don’t you hate the cold? It’s freezing out here,” Dongwoon murmured as he pulled back and the older boy just happily snuggled into his arms, eyes shining brightly. Kikwang just kissed him again. He intertwined their hands and Kikwang said brightly, “I’m not that cold,”
“You’re hands are like ice,” Dongwoon held both of his lover’s hands in his and gently breathed on them, warming up the fingers between his hands. Kikwang blushed lightly. Dongwoon smiled, scolding gently, “Next time just stay home. It’s too cold for you to be out,”
“I wanted to walk home with you,” Kikwang pouted. Dongwoon smiled and gently held onto one of Kikwang’s hands and the older boy shoved the other one into his pocket. He squeezed lightly and received a squeeze in return. They turned from the coffee shop and headed home.
"Are you still cold?"
A shake of the head.
"Nu-uh. You're here with me aren't you?"
