(no subject)
Soooo, an LJ update, because I don't think I've written anything since school started!
My classes this semester -
-Statistical Analysis of Economics and Business
-Managerial Accounting
-Intermediate Accounting I
-Art and Technology
I am loving it, because there are pretty much no essays to write! Math, I can do. Writing, I can also do, for the most part, it just takes me forever.
Of course, I have way too much free time, and I definitely need to get another job. Right now I'm working as a tutor for Macroeconomics, but it's only two hours a week, which obviously doesn't help much. I don't really have a huge homework load, and I kind of feel like a jackass, sitting around all the time when I could be doing something useful. :/ I'm trying to get into Carlson next year, which is practically impossible, so I'll probably join a few clubs to beef up my transcript a little bit. So, that'll take up some extra time, but still...
My big unhappy news is that my dad lost his job a couple of weeks ago. Since he's the one that made all of the money, that means I'm pretty much...screwed. We filed a change of situation form with the school, so hopefully I'll actually get some financial aid for once, but still. (Which is another reason why it would be great to get into Carlson - much cheaper!) He gets unemployment for awhile, but that's still a pretty severe paycut compared to what we're used to. Even when he finds another job, it still probably won't be as much money...Even though that job was a ridiculous amount of hours (I think it was getting to be around 70 a week), the pay was pretty awesome.
Anyway, I think that's about all that's going on in my life right now...it's mostly uneventful, which is probably why I rarely update, haha.
