So heres what's been going on in my life.
Last saturday I took off hitchhiking to Ohio. I left with a companion named Marie I met on Craigslist. She was going to visit some friends in Ohio and i was just along for the ride. So Marie and I started at about 2:30 on Saturday, soon we found a ride, A guy in a truck gave us a lift a few miles south and we found ourself on the south side of chicago, Not the best place for hitch hiking. Eventually we gave up and I called my friend Endi, who offered to drive us out to the middle of Indiana after a few tokes. Good times were had and we arrived at a travel oasis somewhere east of valparaso, IN, a few hours after sunset. We looked for rides as we got there but nothing was to be had so we decided to get some sleep and try the next morning.
The Next morning we got some coffee and got talking to the travellers. We found a ride with a guy named Jerry. He was an older guy, he was driving his son to school in Chicago and going back to Vermont with an empty car and no company. He drove us all the way to Cleveland. 5 minutes after we arrived in Cleveland, Marie found a ride to Akron, her final destination. I decided then and there that travelling to ohio and back didn't satiate my thirst for adventure, and to continue on my way to New York. Got a ride from Cleveland to the ohio/pennsylvania border from a guy named rob. The Travel Oasis's in PA suck, I was just about to go to bed after 4-5 hours of asking for rides with no luck, when a guy travelling solo pulled up in an empty car with MI plates. I decided to try my luck. He offered a ride to Washington DC, and I hopped in. He was a computational chemist named Yao, from taiwan. Heading to a Chemistry convention in DC, from Lansing, MI. We got to DC around 2:30 AM and I caught a bus for $20 up to NYC. Arrived at 8:30 AM. Walked around NY, all day. Slept in a park. The next day I met up with wynx and yodamaster10000, See Anjay's journal for an account of what we did. I wen't back to Erics house and we LANned until the wee hours of the morning. Slept till 4 PM and woke up to fuck around on the computers some more. Still doing that. aetius666 is gonna stop by in a few with some super fun no-no stuff. yay. I love kind people with kind things to give. ;D
