Why is the fandom so pissed about Gazette's new song being in Kuroshitsuji???
I mean...if someone on my f-list is pissed can you tell me why? 'cause I don't get it...and I mean it O_o
Personally I got really happy with the news 'cause I really like Kuroshitsuji :D
And c'mon fandom, don't be so conceited and think that you are 'better' fangirls than anime fangirls...we both flail and squee and giggle like idiots, I am an anime fan AND j-rock fan AND western music fan AND videogame fan...why do those fandoms have to be mutually exclusive?? O_o for me the beginning of my j-music love was Gravitation OST...SO WHAT!??! Do that make me a less worthy fan? Really do you people who only read me think I am an idiot? Do I write only nonsense and flail about how 'Alumina is the best song ever 'cause it was on Death Note' or how 'cute is Maya in 88 video which is the only one I know and only 'cause of Reborn!' ? I mean even you guys that know me in person, though I DO wear anime shirts sometimes and have badges on my bag...am I the stereotype of a stupid anime otaku? I don't think so but you tell me LOL...yes by now you can guess I felt bad because in the gazette_media comm they think of us anime otakus like a plage or something O_O
Stupid, ignorant and annoying people would continue being stupid, ignorant and annoying regardless of the fandom, it's not like you are an idiot for liking anime...if you don't like a song JUST BECAUSE it's in an anime...that's idiotic I think XDDD
Not all the people in a fandom is the same, as well as there is some really annoying anime otakus you can find that kind of people in every other fandom. Personally, living in a country that gives so little opportunity to J-rock I'm glad that maybe out of 100 people who watch Kuroshitsuji half of them end up liking the song enough to at least download the single, and if 10% of that people look for more stuff from the band and become fans then it would be awesome, if they don't like any other song it's ok too, it wasn't their cup of tea...and what makes me happier is that now I DO have an excuse to sing a Gazette song on Karaoke at cons!!! :D
Neither LM.C, MUCC, SID or Kagrra, have been 'tainted' for having their songs as anime openings, and Nightmare got a lot of followers that way, and in the end people who only liked the Death Note songs aren't part of the fandom anymore so no probs :)
I just really can't understad why the folks over the comms take it like a personal offence that the band they follow tries to get bigger :/ I mean is how they get a living...and if you don't like the way they take in their music there are a ton of other bands all over the world, not only Japan, and I'm sure you can find one that goes more with your musical tastes LOL
