Mutiny on the Macy's

I'm sorry I haven't kept up with this lately.. the last week was, dramatic to say the least. Though we didn't exactly cry mutiny - it was about as close as one can get in the retail world.
So, we've decided that our manager is more of a dick than we originally thought and quite moody. He doesn't understand us, he's pitted some of the people I work with against each other, and he acts like we're all thieving hyenas out to devour each other without a second thought. This, is not true (for the most part, there are always a few bad apples in every bunch).
Anyway, the ordeal began with some stupid contest box (that she suspected had been tampered with, and so looked through with some other people there and found several people not represented - so decided to tell him about it), a girl getting bitched at about things until she cried, and a mysterious meeting.

When the chips had all fallen - I was the first to Human Resources to talk about switching down to part time, and after some of the drama inevitably came out - several others followed suit. Our manager took like, 3 personal days this past week, and the "mandatory with no exceptions meeting - you will get paid for the time you are there" turned into 3 meetings (because he couldn't force us to come on our days off and threaten to write us up- so like 5 people came) and was nothing more than some stupid selling points.

Long story short, I have successfully moved down to part time and swung my plan to take over the world into motion. Not really, but it does give me a good deal more time to do the things I want to do, and also makes for an opportunity to come home for more than a day and a half once in a while. Yay!
