[Con Review] Ren-Fest 2011

This isn't going to be extremely long since it was a one-day event. XDDD
We left kind of late due to unforeseen circumstances and made it to Quiet Waters at roughly 1 PM. I went up with my brother, Mel and Kirky. Kirky and I were Elf Siblings (I was the sister, Kirky was the brother), my brother went as Futch, and Mel was Pirate!Lavi. ^_^
Due to the heat, we didn't bring Charlotte since we didn't want her to die. D:
I made a few last minute changes to my costume, but I was really happy with them~
We had some trouble with my ears fitting Kirky so the first thing we did was look for the ear shop. Well... that sucked. XDDD We spent FOREVER looking for them. D: Finally, with some directions and a second look, we found it. The guy fit them and put them on for her. :3
Meanwhile (IN FINLAND! ...JK) my brother went looking for the wooden sword shop called Hallow Earth Swordworks. He bought a wooden broadsword from them and they say all their swords have a life-time guarantee to never break or whatnot. Guess why my brother was looking for them?
...yeaaaaaaaaah. He bought one a couple of years ago and managed to break it. XDDDD Well, sure enough, they replaced it (with a bigger and better one, too).
We had lunch~ And ended up seeing Elspeth. c: After lunch we decided to explore some more of the park we hadn't seen. They expanded the park by a ton! D8
While there, we took some photos (mainly of Mel because there was this awesome pirate ship). After several shots, more wandering until we came upon an improv show. IT WAS AWESOME.
We happened upon Jordan and her sister with her sister's boyfriend. They stayed with us to watch the improv show.
When it finished, Kirky wanted to to get some mutton and my brother wanted ice cream. I found us a table and they ran off to get their food. On the way, he picked up Andy and Randy. After enjoying our food, we went to see the joust.
The joust was pretty interesting this year. It was England and Spain against Germany and... well, some middle eastern country ending with -stan. XDDD But like, Germany paid Spain to get England to kill the -stan guy and it ended with -stan going up against Germany or something or other. XDDD
We left right before the end, so I'm not sure. XD
On our way to the entrance, Mel snapped some shots of Kirky and I in our elf get-ups. 8DD
I will post them here when I get them~
