On Break
Finals are over. Anime club is done for the semester. I've read all of Pet Shop of Horrors and up to Vol. 2 of the sequel, Pet Shop of Horrors: Tokyo. I WANT TO READ MOOOOOORE. But I can't find it online anywhere. ;A; It's a really good series guys!
Now that I'm on break, I've decided to devote as much of my time to drawing as possible. I don't have money to buy things for costumes so I really don't have anything to do besides drawing. Before Christmas I have to, first and foremost, make our Christmas cards (which I think will be adorable this year, just saying). Afterward, I have at least 10 people I'm drawing for. I only got back, like, 5 people who responded to my Dear Santa but I have things in mind for the other people I wanted to hear from but didn't. (That's right suckers, you're still getting something from me. So ha. XP) My brother's is probably going to be the hardest and most time-consuming one. orz 5, including my brother, already have some idea of what I'm doing for them since they responded to the Dear Santa. But the other five are in for a complete surprise~ *teehee*
I do want to touch on cosplay and conventions a bit. XD
My brother and I finalized our cosplay plans for next year. I'm doing the following:
★ Xion from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days • [picture]
― I already started her this year and just never got around to finishing. I will finish her though. I love her and I'm not giving up on her.
★ Belgium (Military Uniform) from Axis Powers Hetalia • [picture]
― I totally intend to do her military uniform for the Mizu panel so my brother and I can match to a degree. Plus I don't have to buy a wig.
★ Natalia Luzu Kimlasca Lanvaldear from Tales of the Abyss • [picture]
― It's a good choice for this year as it's not too complicated/expensive and I don't have to buy the wig here either (I'll use Belgium's).
★ Misty/Kasumi from Pokémon: Heart/Soul • [picture]
― I'm mainly doing this because of the Mizu Show but it's a great summer cosplay and suuuuper easy.
And these are my brother's corresponding ones:
★ Heiwajima Shizuo from Durarara!! • [picture]
― This was also, technically started on but never finished. All he needs is the wig. XD
★ Netherlands (Military Uniform) from Axis Powers Hetalia • [picture]
― To go with my Belgium, of course! I'm pretty excited about this costume even though it's not mine. XD I actually want to knit the scarf and I'm talking to a friend about helping me. XD
★ Luke fon Fabre (Short Hair) from Tales of the Abyss • [picture]
― To go with Natalia. We'd like to have them done for Metro. XD
★ Hoshigaki Kisame from Naruto • [picture]
― This is also for the Mizu Show. I won't be making the coat. XD So this should be fairly simple and straightforward. He's already agreed to the body paint and nail polish too. XD
I might change this if only to remove; I won't add more than this. Luke and Natalia are the only ones I'm worried about. My money situation, if anything, has gotten worse than last year. orz Most likely, I won't be able to go to Otakon like I wanted. ;A; I'm honestly not even sure I can go to Metro at this point though I will do everything in power to do so. IloveMetrosomuchhrnggggg. Anyway, I updated my Events post with the 2011 events I'm aiming for. c:
I'm definitely still taking commissions of any sort as such. Here's some stuff I've posted to dA recently~
