Hatsume Matsuri~
It was a blast! ^_^ I had a really wonderful time. We (JD, Ashley and I) got there at about 11:30 and after helping to ghetto JD's Miroku, immediately saw Sasu who was dressed as Lolita!Hanyuu~ She disappeared after that though and we didn't see her again until the costume contest. D:
We bumped into Kiwi (who was dressed as Paper Boy!Ceil) next and she ended up sticking with us. :3 While searching for other people we saw Izzy and Laura (dressed as Emperor Lelouch and Knight of Zero Suzaku respectively). During our chatting with them, I spotted Mel and Kirky (who were Bel and Squalo, I think) and proceeded to bring them over to us.
We got a tip that Karen was near the museum getting food and decided to go find her. We did and she was indeed trying to get food. So we left shortly after saying goodbye to go look around. Well, that didn't last long because we got a text from Annushiki (dressed as Chrome) asking if she could put some stuff in JD's truck. Her and Lauren showed up soon after and ended up with Karen again. XD
Then we ended up hanging around waiting while Karen, Annu, Mel and Kirky went to change(?) Karen. Honestly, they were gone so long, we were starting to suspect the oddest things. XD When the got back, Karen was dressed as Hibari. :3 We walked all over the gardens taking pictures.
Our group then broke up into three: Lauren, Annu and Karen, Mel and Kirky, and JD, Ashley, Kiwi and I. We ended up in an ice cream line. I saw, like, three of my Anime Bentou friends including Ivan, Emily and Derek. <3 I eventually saw Ben too. ^_^ And Sarah met up with us towards the end of the day.
It seemed that we all became very tired and lazy towards the end of the day. XD I was, personally, really glad the Costume/Cosplay Contest started because I felt a little bored. XDD
Uwa~ Sasu won a judge's award and Laura won some award. (I'm not sure which. ^_^;; ) There were these awesome Space Channel 5 cosplayers who took home an award. And there was the most adorable little girl as Sailor Moon~ =w= And these amazing brother's who won with their Zero and Diz (JD and Annu know them).
It was great really. I was frustrated by all the "costumes" in which people did not actually make anything or made very little. :/ They didn't do a skit or anything like that either so I have no idea why they entered. >_>;
Anyway, we made our way home shortly after that.
Work
I had work right after the festival but with the contest running so late and then getting distracted talking to Sasu, we got to my house rather late. JD ended up taking me to work.
Now, you have to realize I thought I was late. I was under the impression that I had to open at 8:30 and be there an hour early to clean out one of the machines.
What went wrong?
Well... It was mentioned to me that some of us would be serving at a Bar Mitzvah. Since my boss never told me I would be one of those people I was really freaking out from being so late.
Yeah, I worked the Bar Mitzvah with Vida. DX Which would have been neat if they had offered us more than sushi. And if we had chairs. And if the music wasn't quite as loud. And if that creepy guy hadn't stared at me.
Yeah, that's right. Some weird guy passed by us and just stared at me. Vida and I are like lszjdfhsigf okay. Later on, when she leaves to go empty out our water bucket, he says to me, "You're beautiful."
O___o; I'm like, "Err... thanks."
And he stands there. And he keeps staring. And he doesn't leaveeeeee. I was so uncomfortable! If I wasn't suppose to be working, I would've left sooner. After a little while he asks how old I am. I told him 19 straight up and he just kind of looked... I don't know. Disappointed? Surprised? Nghhhhh. DX
Yesterday
Yesterday I wasn't feeling well, actually. I lazed about for a good portion of the day and even took a nap. I really wanted to finish the White Queen but meh. I'm working on her today. If I finish while it's still light out, I'll take some shot then.
My Brother's Spade Halberd is almost done too. It needs some wood filler and spray paint and it'll be done~ It looks amazing. *A*
