Yesterday was crazy! @___@;; I thought 5 hours would be enough time to finish my costume but I was SO WRONG. orz I ended up just finishing the over skirt and the poofy part of the sleeves. I didn't get to do anything with the Organza and I was rushing so I didn't get to do my makeup at all (just lipstick, mascara and some eyeliner). The mascara was black because I forgot to grab the white instead. My brother had to go get my shoes because I felt if I'd left to go get them myself I'd lose time. Which I definitely would have.
Ngh. I wasn't really happy with the way the outfit came out but I guess it was better than nothing. ;w;
Anyway, I was more upset that we ended up getting to the theater very late and I was stupid and didn't buy our tickets ahead of time so my brother and I (and his friend that just so happened to come with us) weren't able to see it with Dani and everyone else. Justin ended up getting a refund for his 7:20 3D ticket and saw the 8:40 2D showing with us instead. We had about 40 minutes to kill so we went to Subway and grabbed some grub.
On the way, Justin walked into a tuxedo place and asked if they had any top hats. He amused the guy working greatly. By the way, they didn't sell any. XD
So we get to Subway and order food and take pictures and chat with people. (We were getting a ton of pictures at the theater too, by the way.) At about 8:20 we headed back and made our way to the theater (but not without more people asking for more pictures). In the actual theater, we were trying to figure out where to sit (it was already so crowded!) and people shouted out to us about how cool we were and stuff. XD Someone asked Justin if he was a chick. XDD
We decided that the only seats we were able to get 4 in a row at was the little section in the front.
I'm not going to spoil the movie for you but I will say it was pretty awesome. The animation was amazing and the plot was pretty good. I really loved Johnny as the Hatter. He did a fantastic job. I had to giggle every time the White Queen strolled around the screen with her hands up. She acted like she was in a dream world. XD
It was fun. :3 After the movie was over, more people asked for our photos while we were still in the room. XD And when we made our way out of room, there was a huge crowd of people who pretty much demanded to take our photos. The manager asked us to see her when we were done. It took us a long while and we wondered if she would hire us to do this all the time or something, but it turned out that one of the ticket takers (who was, like, her daughter or something) wanted a shot with us. XD
A lot of people commended us on the costumes and Justin even got a commission to make the Hatter's hat. :3 A lot of little girls told me I was pretty and and wanted to take pictures with me. XD
Three people called me Alice and one called me Cinderella. (_ _;) One person said, "You must either be late for a wedding or going to Alice in Wonderland." XD Some one called Justin Willy Wonka. No one got my brother mixed up. XD My brother's friend ended up carry my jacket and purse whenever we got asked for pictures. ^_^;; Of course, the girls flocked to Justin and sometimes my brother. One guy specifically asked to take a picture with me.
My brother said, "Is this like MetroCon but without the anime?"
I replied, "Yes, with one event." XD
It really was! It totally reminded me of 2008 when Kin and I debuted Kadaj and Yazoo and just got hounded for pictures. XD It was really fun!! We ended up getting home at about 11:30 and the 4 of us chatted about the movie and stuff.
And then everyone dispersed and I collapsed. XD I was so tired I was falling asleep at the computer. XD
Hopefully people will post the pictures to FaceBook or something. We didn't really take any... ^_^;;
Now I have to go read the newest chapter of Kimi ni Todoke and write a paper. I'll be watching the newest episode tonight. :3
