Huuurgh. *cough cough hack dies* I've been coughing up a lung, lately. I'm positive that I got it from my brother. Stupid brat was coughing all the time, yet he wouldn't leave me the fuck alone and would sit in my room and cough... So now it's my turn. *sighs* Stupid brother. -_-;;

Ever since I started a new way of eating in an attempt to lose a ( Read more... )

I think I have that kimono pattern memorized. :P A1 is supposed to attach to the bottom of A and B1 is supposed to attach to the bottom of B. But that's for an ankle-length kimono, so if your costume kimono is supposed to be shorter just don't add them on. The seam that attaches the sleeve to your shoulder will actually lie somewhere on the upper part of your arm, so that will make the sleeve longer. (Here's a picture that shows what I mean.)

Ahahaha, I wasn't kidding when I said I had this memorized so ask me if you have any more quesitons. :P

I'm enjoying your Hard Gay posts, btw. XD

THANK YOU!!!! :O :O *hugs* It's helpful knowing what those pieces were for. *laughs* If I'd attached 1A and 2A, I would've had to wear platforms. <-is half-joking.
I tried the kimono on, with one of the sleeves sewn on... The sleeves are definitely long enough, like the shoulder part of the diagram that you provided(thanks!). :) But I'm kind of worried that the kimono might be a bit too big(I'm doing size 14, btw)... Maybe when I get around to getting the obi done, it'll make the kimono look less baggy(I feel like it's a size too big, or something, which doesn't make sense because my hips and measurements are HUGE). ._.

*nods* Thank you sooo much for volunteering to help me with my questions~ VvvVV *sends lots of love*

Haha, I'm glad that you're enjoying the Hard Gay videos. They made me laugh so much~ XD XD

I need help... OTL|||| So in the end, I really do need the 1A and 2A pieces because if I wear the kimono, it's not long enough(...). How do I attach them without making it look odd? I mean, I handsew, so the thread is going to show up on the outside, if I attach them like that... ^^;;;;
Also, what exactly is a dickey? It's piece number 9, and I stared at the diagram, but I still don't really know what it's for. ._.
Thanks for your help!

Arggg, sorry for taking so long! The 1A and 2A pieces are supposed to be attached to the 1 and 2 pieces before the fabric is cut, making a bigger pattern. (I'm sorry, I should have said something but you were saying about it being too long so I didn't even think!) You can sew them together by hand or machine, but it's going to show a bit.

I don't really know what the dickey is for either. It means like, a fake collar to wear underneath something else, but I don't know what it refers to in the pattern. Maybe if you read the step where you're supposed to attach piece 9 it will give you an idea? Or maybe you don't even need it!

Yeah, patterns don't make much sense, they speak a whole different language. >_< ;
